Exceptionally beautiful and well-maintained property! Everything was absolutely topnotch; so much old-world charm. Room and bathroom were clean and large; there was a mini fridge, tea/coffee, etc. Breakfast was very good; there’s a large breakfast buffet with the cold options, cereal, fruit, yogurt, muffins, etc., and then you can also order the hot options from a menu. We also ate lunch and dinner there, and they were very good. We would’ve liked to stay longer! The pool area is beautiful too - nice warm pool. Very easily walkable to the Victoria Falls Park entrance – we walked there in about 10 – 15 minutes, then walked the length of the park, and back again, all before lunch. Just to note, there's only one point of entry and exit to the park. The art and craft market right next to the hotel is also great – lots of treasures to find! There are two art stands just to the left of the entrance – both exceptional artists. We bought a drawing of a baobab tree from a young artist, Clement. We had it framed and treasure it. There’s also a local band playing outside with hand-crafted instruments – not to be missed! They have a sound we’d never heard before – very melodic and memorable. The only downside, and the hotel can’t help this, but there are helicopter tours flying overhead pretty much all day. It’s unfortunate, because this detracts from the beautiful, peaceful feeling the hotel has. All of the hotels in the area would be in the same situation though.
