Cleanliness 7/10 -There was a shampoo and lotion used in the shower booth, the tub had black specs Food Quality 8/10- Food taste is fair and just some touch needed on presentation Staff friendliness & customer service 6/10- On check in the receptionist didn't exhibited a sense of urgency, she was attending to a personal call and afterwards started chanting to our shuttle driver talking personal issues before attending to us However the restaurant staff were so friendly and very cooperative. Thembi gave us exceptional service Sleep quality 10/10- The room is very spacious, bed comfy and the room well air-conditioned. Pool master is a room to be Attention to detail 5/10- there was no bath soap in the room Overall hotel rating***

Whilst the room was nice enough, on the day we arrived it was 40C and there was no power, and the fan in our room did not work. When we expressed that the fan didn't work, we were then told that all the fans on that side of the lodge were not operational, leaving us to sweat for hours until the power came on over three hours later. There was no mention of the fan not working when we checked in. Food selection was small, and food itself was mediocre. Breakfast was small and everything that should be cold was warm, and things that should be hot were lukewarm. Staff were lovely, but slow and did not always know what was going on. Would not recommend staying here unless you are planning on *just* sleeping and eating out at other places. Not worth the money. Pools were fine, though could do with a clean.

Location is 3k from the centre of Vic Falls. Pros :Very clean, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, Judith at reception very helpful. All the staff very helpful, but very slow, no multi tasking here.Get the right crowd and it is very peaceful. Cons :No hand towels, you have to ask every day. No shower gel shampoo until asked for, then not replenished. Poor quality and choice of breakfast unless you like eggs and not hot. Swimming pools need resurfacing. Get the wrong crowd and it’s so small you can’t escape loud neighbours. Only 2* not 3*

We stayed at this lodge for 5 nights in October 2023. It needs a lot of improvements. Positives: When we complained via our travel agent about the lodge the staff kindly moved us to a better room and we witnessed the pool being cleaned after our complaint. Staff were friendly. Reception staff organised taxis quickly when asked. Rooms have air conditioning and a fridge. Negatives: Our initial room was infested with ants and cockroaches, the ceiling paint was peeling, the lighting looked dirty, the bath was chipped and did not have a plug hole so was not useable. Some of the towels were old and stained, with holes in. The pool did not look clean (photo attached was after cleaning after our initial complaint). Breakfast was awful - there were flies everywhere, one morning I found flies in the orange juice. The juice tasted watered down. You had to frequently ask for cutlery/crockery as it was often not available readily. You had to ask every day for butter. we were told there was no jam when we asked, but on another day we saw other guests were able to ask for this. There was only one choice of cereal, and the milk was warm everyday, even when we came to breakfast just as it opened. The bread for toast was stale on occasions. The fruit looked like it had been left out to long. The bar could not take card and only had 13USD change when we were due 16USD. You have to organise a taxi to get anywhere, nothing is within safe walking distance. Overall we would definitely not return to this lodge, although we are grateful the staff responded to our initial complaint about the room and moved us to a more comfortable one.

The hotel was nice and clean and included what we needed. Expect some load-shedding; however, the pool is a cool escape from the heat. Grace (our host) was outstanding (5-stars)! She helped arrange transportation and recommended great excursions.

We stayed here for one night. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a good communal area where we played cards. The breakfast was lovely. Only comment was that there was no mosquito net on the bathroom window, but we just made sure the door was closed.

Excellent.The lodge was always spacious clean.Stayed there for 3 nights with family. Food from the restaurant was great. All the staff were welcoming and friendly I would stay there again and I have recommended the lodge to friends

Great value. Great staff. Poor wifi. Great food but very limited timelines for kitchen. No snack bar. I would for sure stay again though.
