The property should reconsider having a braai area for everyone. They are very welcoming but we had to eat take out daily while in durban. If they had braai area we were going to braai meat and some days eat it!

Très bel établissement. Très bonne communication avant. Très propre. Beaucoup de petites intentions, café ,petits gâteaux, thé vous attendent. Petit déjeuner de qualité, copieux. Très sécurisé en zone résidentielle. Magasins, restaurants à proximité, on peut y aller à pied.

Super friendly hosts. Great and easy to reach location close to restaurants, bars and the beach. Highly recommendable.

Wonderful peaceful guesthouse in a great location. Super rooms overlooking pool and garden within easy walk of the ocean and resort centre. Lovely friendly hosts who make you feel at home and are ready to help you with your travel plans. Tasty plentiful breakfast. We are coming back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anchors Rest. Our bedroom was beautifully clean and thoughtfully equipped. The gardens and pool area are well maintained and a pleasure to use. The location is great – quiet but within easy walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. A good breakfast sets you up for the day! The owners are excellent hosts with years of experience who go the extra mile ensure your stay in a good one.

Love this place. Its our third visit and the hosts really made us feel welcome. Comfortable rooms and great breakfasts. Just a short walk from the main high street and beach it could not be in a better location. Will definitely return again next year.

Most definitely the best stay we have had in the Durban/Umhlanga area. Cilla & Peter are the best hosts, warm & friendly tending to our every need. Anchor's Rest is just lovely, beautiful setting, save area & close to all the restaurants. VERY comfortable beds. We enjoyed a morning walk on the beach. Best breakfast - Omelets to die for. We will definitely stay at Anchor's Rest on our next visit. Real value for money.

A very nice property with lots of character. Set in a quiet location near to shopping malls and restaurants. A family run guest house giving a warm welcome to anyone booking a break who were happy to give advice should you require it. A good selection of food available for breakfast. No more than 5 minutes from all major roads. Secure parking on site. An enjoyable stay.
