六本木S酒店(Roppongi Hotel S)

They were so kind, supportive for everything! Kenji at reception was really kind. Breakfast has some vegies, cheese, fruits. It was small but really cozy. Want to visit here again ☺️

This was the worst hotel during our long stay in Japan. And we payed a fairly high rate. We stayed in the patio room, I believe it’s supposed to be a nice room but found a room split by a bunch of dry walls and weird steps. For example the bathroom was high on a step and inside the bathroom you feel like stepping on a hollow floor and walls are dry walls full of cracks everywhere. Also nowhere to hang a hand towel in the bathroom and the sink counter is tiny so you can’t even leave the towel on the counter. The walls were also so dirty full of splashes. The hair dryer was so dirty and sticky. The room has a small wet bar with sink and fridge, our fridge didn’t work but housekeeping put waters inside but didn’t bother to report a non functional fridge. The walls around the wet bar were full of splashes easily removed with a paper, which means cleanliness was not good. They offer robes, slippers and some sort of uncomfortable viscose robe, so no pajamas just two sets of robes one fluffy and one uncomfortable. The tub was very nice, but to get there you had to jump up on a higher wall/ step and watch your head to go through a short door as you jump in and out (I’m very short myself). The room is all about the tub but no bubbles were provided, it’d be a nice touch. The room offered no body lotion, which is usually pretty standard. When we checked in they gave us a card saying they would clean our room only on one specific day of our 3 night stay, I thought that was a rude thing specially considering how poor the cleaning was and the level and rate of hotel compared to others in the area. The card did say they’d clean extra if requested, so we did ask for service everyday. Breakfast was mediocre, not western, not Japanese, I don’t know what that was. Service all around the hotel was odd, everybody seemed confused and shy everytime. Almost as if avoiding to talk to you so you don’t ask for anything. And I did not complain about anything, we just checked in, ate breakfast and checked out. Overall I’d not recommend staying here, they have a lot of work to do on cleaning, aesthetic, and functionality of the room. Service needs more training to make guests feel welcome.

I was pleasantly surprised at the newness of the hotel, walking in thinking it was brand new but was informed that they had been open for 10 years and recently got renovated. The staff were very kind and helpful. I was there on a solo business trip. The room has a bar setup, full of complementary drinks and snacks. I'd never seen a fully complementary bar and fridge so it was a HUGE surprise. I think the room was wasted on me as I was on business but it was a nice place to stay, for couples on holiday perhaps. Location wise, it's right by Nishiazabu crossing so you can hop on the bus into Shibuya quite easily. Breakfast was buffet style. I try to eat clean with lots of protein so the selection was a little disappointing, lacked clean protein with some fresh veg and fruit...protein was all processed so I went a little hungry. Nespresso coffee machine was nice.

The hotel has a nice lobby and restaurant; but our room (patio room) was poorly maintained. Small, cramped with furniture, high steps to go to the bathroom and shower area and a lot of dry walls splitting areas, as if they tried to build a room there but didn’t work well. The room was dirty, sticky hairdryer, splashes on dry walls in the bathroom, and sticky smears on bedroom sink area. The walls in bathrooms and showers had stains, scratches and cracks (dry wall cracks). Horrible functionality, no hooks to hang towels by the bathroom sink, so we left towels sitting on the small sink counter. When we came in the fridge wasn’t working, we had to figure it out how to turn it on. The AC doesn’t have any instruction in English and the translator did not work well, so an information sheet on how to use the AC in English would be helpful. Breakfast was average, we had better ones from other hotels. Service was odd, we would be waiting in line and people would cut in front of us and the front desk clerks wouldn’t say anything, but once they were done with a customer they wouldn’t even recognize we were there waiting. We were confused several times. The room didn’t have any lotion, they had some small facial serums but no body lotions, and they offered two sets of robes per person, one silky, waste of space and we would had preferred the sleeping gowns like in other hotels.
