While we realize our request was an exception, the way it was handled could have been better and not left such a sour experience. We called the morning of our stay around 9 asking if it would be possible to check in around noon. We were told that there were no rooms available yet and they would call if something became available. We continued to the hotel and upon entering the lobby we were greeted by the front desk rep. When I let her know that we had called earlier and were just checking to see if anything was available the response was a snarky "if there was a room, we would have called you!" When I asked if she had any idea how long it could be, again, it was a snarky "our cleaning team works on priority rooms first"...not sure what that meant or why she couldn't have let them know earlier that she had received a request for an early check in but it just wasn't the best customer service in our opinion. We ended up going to our party without being able to check in and returned late in the evening to a much kinder experience. With regards to the room, it was clean, although the towels could use some replacing as they have definitely seen better days and were quite ragged. Bed and pillows were comfortable and plenty. The hotel is surrounded by several other choices and has a Starbucks right on the corner which was great to grab morning coffee.
