恩德培萬豪Protea酒店(Protea Hotel Entebbe)

Als ich spät abends im Hotel ankam, war mein erster Eindruck nicht so positiv: Bauprovisorien am Flur, eine Bar mit "sozialistischem" Flair. Mit zunehmender Verweildauer wurde meine Einschätzung allerdings immer positiver: sehr große, elegant eingerichtete Zimmer, sehr großer Balkon mit Blick auf den Viktoria-See, tadellose Qualität und Service im Restaurant, sehr schöner und gepflegter Außenbereich mit Pool, Cafeteria/Restaurant. Traumhaft ein Abendspaziergang am Seeufer. Der Flughafen ist zwar in unmittelbarer Nähe, es gibt aber so gut wie keine Lärmbelästigung. Das Stadtzentrum ist mit dem Auto/Taxi in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Resumé. eine sehr empfehlenswerte Oase: geeignet sowohl für geschäftliche Aufenthalte als auch um einfach ein paar Tage auszuspannen and das Ambiente zu genießen.

Great location for easy airport travel. I pre-booked the shuttle and a driver was there waiting for me right on time, and same for going back. Management provided an automatic upgrade from status without even asking. Bar service was good both inside and pool side. I thought that the restaurant's pizza was perfectly fine, especially since there aren't many other options around. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful lake views. Naturally, the bugs can get bad out there but you can easily avoid that if you wish as well.

Excellent welcome from the front desk team, in particular, Frank. My elite status was recognised and rewarded with an upgrade to a magnificent suite both times I stayed (on arrival and on departure). Airport is 5-10 mins away from hotel so incredibly convenient. Shuttle to and from the airport was prompt and appreciated. I have stayed in other hotels in Entebbe, but this is now my favourite. Lovely pool area overlooking the lake. Hotel is very well-organised yet makes you feel welcome and relaxed. Will most certainly stay again.

I would have rated this hotel higher except for the food at the restaurant. Stayed here for 1 night on the way to gorilla tracking. The room was fine, the location is beautiful, and the massage at the spa was great and a real bargain. The food, however, was terrible! Lunch was bad, but we were so exhausted from traveling that we didn't send it back. Not so at dinner - for the third time in my life, I actually sent something back. We ordered a salad instead, and they couldn't even get that right. Too bad there are no alternatives for eating, given the location.

Una esperienza molto deludente, oltre ogni dire. Il più caro hotel di Entebbe ha di bello solo la posizione sul lago, il resto meglio dimenticarlo: camera piccola e non fornita (niente frigobar, niente slippers, mediocri amenities) ristorante disorganizzato, confusionario e non privo di inconvenenti seri (ringrazio lo Chef Stanley per averci messo la faccia), camerieri sbandati e travolti dalle richieste (eccetto uno, Deus), cibo scadente o terminato (per due giorni ho cercato di avere il chicken luwombo, piatto tipico ugandese, e non è stato possibile! Il loro piatto nazionale! Come se in Italia il ristorante non avesse la pasta!). In compenso, due cose buone: palestra bella e attrezzata e colazione a buffet al mattino del tutto soddisfacente Reception musona (eccetto una, Teddy ,che sorride) e molto fiscale (ho avuto la camera alle 14.30 esatte, neanche un minuto prima, ma mi hanno cambiato la camera tre volte prima la 209, poi la 128 e infine la piccola 126, il cui numero -non a caso- ricorda le dimensioni della piccola auto della Fiat,. In conclusione: un hotel overpriced che non vale quello che promette.

Excellent property in Entebbe. They provide airport pickup. Hotel only a few minutes from airport. Wish we could've stayed longer because they have a pool and they are right on the water. Staff very helpful
