Holiday Inn 底特律湖區(Holiday Inn Detroit Lakes - Lakefront)

The property appears to have gotten a cosmetic facelift, and a lot of the quirks still exist. Our room was very cold each night because the door facing the lake leaked air, there was hair in the shower and sink when we arrived, and no trash bag. The restaurant is terrible. Very overpriced and the food just isn't good, which is surprising because the free breakfast they offer to hockey teams is not bad. I would not stay at this hotel unless it was for a hockey tournament and was our only choice (it was).

Stayed here a few times. On my first stay had to wait over 30 min to check in because the employee had left in the middle of their shift and didn’t tell anyone. I was told they would reduce the bill to make up for this inconvenience and that didn’t happen. The restaurant connected to the hotel is pretty good food but is overpriced. Overall it’s a nice, clean hotel with great access to the beach. Pet friendly and a lovely grass area for pets.

We were not given the room we requested. The service needs help. The food was not great, my wife had salad bar and she got 1 plate and was charged $17, the breakfast was not good and they took forever to refill the 6 or 7 items they have. The food was not good and was overpriced.

Finally a a clean hotel! The beach and bar area are a fun setting. The beds were comfortable and clean. The furniture in the room was very functional which is always a nice added bonus.

5 nights of holidays at this hotel was the perfect choice. Clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. Can’t wait to go back.

We enjoyed our stay at the best Western in Detroit Lakes. The hotel is right on the lake and we had a view from our balcony which my husband enjoyed sitting out and talking with a friend into the evening. The room was a good size we enjoyed taking a canoe out on the lake in the morning. The breakfast was very good and our waitress was very sweet and caring.

Very nice property that could use a second elevator. And did they really need to pave the parking lot in July, their busiest month? Staff was helpful, especially the lady who helped us bring in our luggage. Breakfast concept was old fashioned, I.e. it was not included in the room charge.

The front desk person was not nice.. kind of rude. The entire hotel was being remolded and was extremely dusty. The restaurant was ridiculous for breakfast. It took over an hour and half to get four basic meals..

first of all I got a call from the Manger of the hotel and said they where remodeling and that we would not be getting the handicaped rooms because of the remodeling and I told them that I would be having my 93 year old mother with me and we would need at less one room that was for a handicap person and he said he would do his best. Well he failed at that. We got two rooms on the 3rd floor and she had to walk half way down the hall to her room and it was not handicap. Second when I ask about if they had one the said for only one night which I thought was wrong for when I booked the room and talk to the manager I said I need at less one room that was handicap So my experience was not to my liking So we paid you as a third party I will not use you again for if you need a handicap room it should be under stood that it should be that way because that what we paid for. and there very under staffed and also so the girl at the desk was not well trained she walk a way and had to call someone so all in all you LOST a Few Customer!!!!!!!
