Air Algerie is Algeria's national airline and Africa's third largest airline with a fleet of 40 aircraft and flights to 74 cities worldwide. Air Algerie was founded in 1947 and is wholly owned by the Algerian State. It operates out of Houari Boumedienne Airport offering flights to Africa destinations including Abidjan, Niamey, Tripoli, Casablanca, Dakar and Algiers among others. Global flight destinations include Montreal in Canada, Cairo, Beirut and Dubai in the Middle East, London, Paris, Frankfurt and Rome in Europe. Air Algerie operates a number of codeshare flights with other airlines including Aeroflot, Aigle Azur, Air Canada, Air China, Alitalia, Korean Air and Lufthansa.
