What a wonderful 2 night stay again, We had the self contained unit. Fantastic friendly and very knowledgeable hosts Ian & Jan. Beautiful clean rooms, lovely gardens and excellent breakfast. Lovely to sit around the breakfast table with other guests and hosts discussing our travel plans and having a great laugh. 5 minute walk to the high street. Our second visit, we were here 8 years ago, and it was a must to return, it did not disappoint, we were so pleased we returned.

A huge thank you to the hosts. I'd travelled up the West coast of NZ to Westport with the intention of driving to Picton the following day to get the ferry to the North Island. With less than 24 hours notice I'd received an email from the shambolic ferry company to advise that my ferry was cancelled and no spaces for at least 2 weeks. I advised that I would have to leave early the next morning (around 5am) to travel to Christchurch to return the hire car and get a plane instead. I had to leave a few bits behind as couldn't fit it all in my suitcase (sorry for having to leave those in the room). I was provided with some fruit to take with me in the morning for my breakfast which was really kind. The room was very clean and comfortable. There were patio doors out to a beautiful garden area. The location was very quiet and I hope I didn't make too much noise as I left! The hosts were really kind and helped to make sure I was ok after I'd let them know of the travel issues!

Havenlee Homestay is excellent. The hosts, Jan and Ian, are friendly and considerate, the garden setting is lovely, the accommodation is spacious and comfortable, and the breakfasts are wonderful. Everything is immaculate and there is plenty of parking. We spent five nights here as part of a longer West Coast holiday and enjoyed every moment. We highly recommend this homestay to other travellers or anybody needing a relaxing break away. A lovely experience.

Lovely friendly couple, we enjoyed staying there and will keep the friendship.
