For personal reasons I left the motel in the early hours of the morning, hours before check out time. Due to the ("24 hour") reception being unoccupied and unavailable, I left the key on the table inside the room and emailed reception detailing my departure and room key whereabouts. No damage was done to the property and the door was locked behind me. Days after, my deposit was not refunded, so I rang to enquire when the $100 deposit would be refunded back to my account. I was told that someone else had broken in to the room and that police were called, in shock, I asked the hotel owner to please repeat what she said, she declined and hung up. Confused, I tried calling back, a number of times, to get some clarity, I had to change my number to private setting for her to answer. When she finally answered, I calmly stated my name and asked what was going on, and why police were called and why that had anything to do with me, she yelled down the phone telling me to stop calling and stop harrassing her, and that she would report this with her initial police report. She hung up again. Still to this day, I have no answers, no idea what has happened, and no reason from the hotel why my deposit will not be refunded. The hotel owner was irrational and dismissive. She was unfair and her customer service was very poor. I would not recommend this motel.
