高爾夫球場路度假屋旅館(Golfcourse Road Chalets and Lodge)

We stayed here for two nights towards the end of our 5 week trip to New Zealand and it was definitely in the top 2 or 3 places we stayed. We really loved the layout of the chalets, the quality of the interiors and the spacious grounds. It is about. 25 minute walk to town or a short drive which did not worry us

Positives: - Location: out of busy town centre, 10 min walk through the golf course or a 5min drive, if you want to get there - Modern design, split level, one bedroom chalet with kitchenette, bathroom and lounge/dining room located on the ground floor and the bedroom up the stairs - Reasonably equipped kitchenette - Front loading washing machine - Clean bathroom, with enough storage space and free toiletries provided - Chalets are serviced daily, towels replaced and tea/coffee replenished - Free WiFi - Friendly hosts Negatives: - bathroom and toilet are located on the ground floor and the stairs are a little slippery - reception on the TV was quite terrible and channels were limited - no electric blankets on the bed and only one small heater d/stairs

Located on a large property just on the outskirts of Wanaka, these beautifully constructed chalets are a delight to the eyes. Walking in the large picture windows/doors you are presented with a large living area with the bedroom located on the mezzanine floor above. Kitchenette and bathroom are located on the ground floor with lounge/dining room. Reception was quick and we were guided to our chalet promptly. The only complaints I have are that the bathroom and toilet are located on the ground floor and the bedroom is located on the mezzanine floor where there are no facilities. So, if you are the type of person that requires to visit the bathroom during the night then this may be a problem for you. There are however lights that can be left on to light up the stairs if required. The only other complaint is that the reception on the TV was terrible, with limited channels available. The owner was advised on checkout.

We came upon this gem whilst driving around looking for a room for the night. The person who greeted us was friendly and advised that there was only one room left available. Our first impressions were that the chalets were well kept, clean and in a quiet location. The rooms were exceptionally clean and our room had a lovely window seat to sit in and admire the view over the mountains. The Chalets are opposite the golf course and are amongst some well maintained gardens and grounds. The room and bathroom was heated which was welcomed as it was cold outside. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room quiet. Breakfast was a choice of cereals, fruit, breads (to toast) and some fresh baked croissants were placed on our table. We will definitely visit again when in the area.
