聖克萊門斯酒店(Hotell St Clemens)

Helt fantastiskt hotell på alla sätt och vis! Servicen från personalen va makalös. Så glad av vi valde detta hotell för vår premiärtur till Gotland.

I took trip alone after my hockey season was over for a sort of personal retreat, fresh air, and quiet time, and I couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful place to stay. The hospitality did not disappoint— the atmosphere is so pleasant and helps you to slow down and enjoy. I truly could not complain about anything if I tried!

A lovely small hotel in the middle of Visby just a short walk from all the sights in town. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, giving us all the information we could ask for about our stay at the hotel but also for our visit in Visby. Our room was a double room in the court yard which was so sweet with original features and nice décor. And even if the house is old and we stayed in the beginning of march the room was not at all cold. The hotel lays just beside their 'own' church ruin which you can access from a small garden (where you, when the weather is warmer, also bring your breakfast). The breakfast was just perfect for us. A lot of local products and just the right amount of food to choose from, all fresh and nicely presented. We can really recommend this hotel for all wanting a smaller, personal hotel with high standards.

A lovely collection of 5 restored buildings. We had room 44: a ground floor unit (which in hindsight is the level you want so you don't have to tackle stairs with luggage). Unfortunately on arrival we discovered that the hotel was having some internet communication issues which for us meand they didn't receive our request for a parking space. However Camilla (front desk) promptly diffused the problem by offering a multitude of alternative options along with a very-appreciated apology for the connection issue. It was of course not her fault, but I never underestimate or underappreciate the power of a genuinely-delivered apology. Our stay was great: the room had mch-needed room-darkening shades, there were earplugs available (look in the closet) even though there was not one noise during the night suggesting they were needed. Breakfast was offered over a generous timeframe (6:30a-10:30a) with a very nice selection. Only one odd thing: we on didn't realize we'd have housekeeping for our 2-nt stay, but when we returned after our first night there was an inconsistent level of housekeeping attention paid: our towels were straightened out and coffee was replenished, but tissues were not replenished and our drinking glasses were not replaced/cleaned. Not a bad experience, just odd --- not sure how to rate 1/2 of a service that I didn't expect in the first place. Bicycles are available on the property --- this is a really nice way to see Visby. I simply can't say enough about Camilla -- if you check in and don't walk away thinking she is one of the nicest people you've ever met, then I would be it wasn't Camilla who checked you in.

Beautiful and cozy rooms, awesome, helpful and friendly staff, delicious Scandinavian breakfast with vegan options. Bonus for bird enthousiasts: a possibility to observe common mergansers hanging around on top of the St. Clemens ruins! Definitely would visit again!

The surroundings are great with a great ruin integrated in the hotel. Old buildings that give you a feeling of living in the past. The service was both very professional and very personal and warm. Our recommandationes!

This is a super cute, family owned hotel! The rooms are clean and quaint, and everything was wonderful. The breakfast was lovely and light and the location was great for looking around Visby!

We spent three days at the charming St Clemens Hotel. This is a family run hotel with attentive, personal service. It is very well kept up. Rooms are in different buildings and a partial ruin of a gothic church is on the property. The location is generally quiet and near enough to the center of things in Visby. Note that there is a charge for parking. We started in a very large, comfortable room that was under the breakfast room, a good room only for early risers. Wifi was good but required repeated sign-ins.

Stunning! Family-owned with caring and thoughtful staff. They provided an incredible binder in Swedish and English that describes Visby and the hotel in detail. They were able to accommodate us with an extra bed in our room when we unexpectedly became three. But we were absolutely won over by the breakfast spread of Swedish food like none we have seen before.
