We love staying at Holiday Inn in Vandalia when we go visit family. It's always clean and quiet. My kids love the pool. The breakfast was awesome with lots to choose from and very delicious. The only thing that was disappointing was that the hot tub still was not working. We visited back in May and it wasn't working then either.

Clean property & comfortable bed. Good selection of breakfast items as well. The bathroom could use a deeper cleaning & the front desk clerk could have been more accommodating for price matching the online offer.

Room wasn't as clean as it should have been, but staff was very friendly and apologized for the mistakes, I was disappointed the hot tub was broken but the kids loved the pool, we will be staying with them again!

The beds were very comfortable. It was a convenient location, easy to get to off the highway. Also has shopping and food very close by. The indoor pool was not heated. It was cold. The hot tub was not in operation. I was really looking forward to a nice relaxing soak after a long day of driving. The elevator was scary! We could not control the temp in the room.

I had an issue with my tax exempt status for work. Its always such a headache traveling and figuring that out. The front desk staff helped me out and gave awesome service. Very comfortable during my stay.

The clerk needs to explain where the vending machines are, explain the breakfast and where it is served. Also provide literature for restaurants amend things to do in the town.

I did not like that the elevator was out of service, and no one said anything, and they still had the 3rd floor room listed. I am 68 years old and had to carry my stuff up three floors. I told the front desk that I wanted to cancel and rebook somewhere else and was told I could go ahead but I was going to have to go deal with *******. I made my reservations through Travelocity, next time I will call before I book any rooms I was very disappointed

Not a bad facility. The biggest complaint was that the deadbolt would not latch on the room door and the elevator was not working properly the entire weekend.
