瓦爾帕萊索麗怡酒店(Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Valparaiso, IN)

I love this chain of hotel. I have stayed at one closer to my hometown. This one looked very similar but there were little things that bother me. Our room was dusty, our door had a pretty sizeable gap at the top that made it seem like the door was open and our room was right next to the elevator which was both nice and a bit annoying with people coming in and out. Will most likely stay again, might ask for a different room next time.

The windows were sealed shut. The room smelled of mold and human sweat (feet?). Someone down the hall kept his door open and people in and out of his room all night. As a result of all this activity, the parking lot was full but if you waited long enough a spot would become open. Not staying here again.

The staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. The parking lot is terrible and was hardly even plowed or shoveled in the spots and it was days after it had last snowed. It was almost impossible to find a spot and when we went to drive around on the road to find parking in the back there was a rock from the landscaping in the middle of the road that damaged the underside of your vehicle. Also they deactivated our room keys at 11am when the checkout wasn’t until 12pm and didn’t even apologize about it. The service is not at all worth the money.

Becareful they will try to scam you for your "incidentals" fee. Toddler had an accident. The incidentals fee was 50.00 that was authorized in case --- they charged my 75.00 which I NEVER agreed to - the reason they had to wash the sheets. This place literally admitted they do not change sheets in between stays. I took the soiled sheet off the bed (to expose a giant disgusting blood stain nasty) so that the housekeeping staff would not need to worry about it and then they had the audacity to CHARGE me 75.00 to do what they are PAID to do and they claim to have covid protocols for enhanced sanitation. ENHANCED means extra cleaning. Common sense says change the sheets on bed in between guests!!! There was NO AC in our room it was a balmy 83 degrees in our room and we had the front desk come to verify and do NOTHING. The elevator was broke and waiting for a new inspection. And the drug addict above us walked around from 11 pm until 3 AM front desk had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to ask him to stop stomping ---- he didn't ---- we got him to finally stop at 3 am!!

The room was fine except that it was on the first floor facing parking lot and the curtains didn’t close. I called Jazz at front desk, she was very sweet, came to my room and looked at curtains. The curtains were not made to shut..it was a shear curtain between the blackout curtains so everyone coming and going could see right into my room. Every head light from every car parking or leaving shone in my room. And all night the parking lot lights we brightly lighting up my room. So needless to say not a great night sleep. Not sure if in every room but don’t stay first floor. There were no other rooms a available so we were stuck.

1.) No air conditioning in our room it was over 80 degrees in our room, asked the front desk clerk to have maintenance fix ans he came up and was like oh its gotta be a wall unit im like NO there isnt a wall unit here is the thermostate we had it turned on full blown high and the temp down and NOTHING was blowimg out of the vent HORRIBLE 2.) No elevator having to make 4 trips up and down all the smelly ass stairways to bring our stuff up and down and up and down. 3.) Breakfast was closed up before time 4.) GIANT blood stain on the mattress like did someone die? Thats not like a normal girl thing it was huge and disgusting, souch for the covid protocols for sanitation and cleanliness, asking housekeeping for ANYTHING is bad i wpuldve done better to go ask someone walking by for help 5.)Jasmine i think was the one girl overnights that works there was great to me on the phone and super helpful sadly she wasnt present when i checked in Im not a karen bit for nearly 200.00 get the elevators working, 200.00 a night fix the dang AC

Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Wide range of breakfast choices made it especially enjoyable. We'd stay there again with no hesitation.

It was a lovely stay! The breakfast was amazing. We stayed two nights and I wasn’t expecting breakfast to be different the second day but it was and I was happy about that. The room was very clean. The housekeeping was very friendly along with the front desk staff. The hot tub was nice. The chemicals are a little strong but I guess you can expect that in a public pool. Overall it was a wonderful stay. Bed are comfortable. We will definitely stay here again in the future

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly, location was great, breakfast was good. No room services unless your staying more then 3 days, not necessarily a big deal for me but would have been nice to have an option. We stayed 3 nights and having to go to the front desk every time we needed TP or a trash bag was inconvenient.
