Good location

Easily the best hotel we have stayed in for some time. Incredible renovated room overlooking the amazing Streaky Bay. The staff, food, and reception was without fault, professional, and receptive with all requests. Well done, will be back.

Lovely old Pub still standing after so many decades. Has been renovated very professionally back to its original state. Jarrah Timber Bars, frosted mirrors beautiful decor. The dining room holds plenty, and the food is excellent. Try the Salt & Pepper Squid, you’ll be talking about it for weeks after. Some meals however need enlarging … like the King George Whiting with Chips & Salad at $25. Very small meal.

Anchor bistro only:- seafood medley. Prawns not fresh, hard to peel. Oysters tasted funny like bottled variety. Salad leaves black. “Oh they’re only for decoration (stupid) “ Whiting good and squid too. Sorry I didn’t see the sign saying only for decoration.

Great atmosphere in the hotel. Full of relaxed people enjoying the tranquility of Streaky Bay

Our stay was seamless and restful. The location was great with gorgeous views. We loved being able to walk across to the pier for a stroll after dinner. The highlight?… the oysters! They were so delicious

Food was fine. Just sad when the waitress who brings your food out gives you attitude. So very rude. Also witnessed her throw a pizza box on a table instead of placing it down. Someone unhappy in the wrong job. Perfect location but this attitude has the ability to ruin a good meal on a beautiful day. Luckily the other young waitress was lovely and embarrassed for the rude staff.

Staff greeted us on check-in and we're very friendly and helpful. The room was fairly simple but clean and functional. Dinner at the bistro was lovely, well presented and with generous portions. Gluten free options were available. The cost of the room included a continental breakfast which definitely makes for good value for money. Highly recommended as an overnight stay.

If you plan to stay at Streaky bay plan ahead and ask for room 1. You won’t be disappointed. We paid 240 for the night, compared with a workers cabin @ 130 and a motel room at 150 on the Eyre loop. This is the best room I have ever ever stayed in. The food and staff were wonderful but the veranda and the view the hero’s. Beautiful wine glass’s and china tea cups and mugs made us feel like royalty….. so don’t rent a cheap cabin or motel room when you could be upstairs. There were also other less expensive rooms but didn’t have the full corner view we did
