大道汽車旅館(Boulevard Motel)

We decided to stay at the Boulevard Motel which is right beside Half Pot Creek in the centre of Stanthorpe. The owner is very welcoming and offered us a family room as she was just about booked out. The room was fabulous with a view over the park and creek. The room was well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the room very quiet. We walked up town for dinner as well as breakfast. I love my sunrise photography and was treated to a lovely morning’s sunrise down by the creek.

We stayed in the room at the front of the motel which the receptionist, at check In described as the honeymoon suite. If this was the honeymoon suite there was no privacy offered after dark as the curtains in the room on the main window did not close. There were standard curtains on the window and also some sheer drapes. They were both on the same track not on different tracks as is usual. The result was that the black out curtains did not close fully. The sheer curtains bunched in the middle allow early morning sun to enter the room and possibly allowing people passing by to look in. As I said the room was at the front of the motel near the road and also had a public park at the side we’re the curtains did not close. I asked the receptionist how we were supposed to block out the sun and prying eyes and she said she had never noticed the curtain arrangement before. She happily got us some pegs though so we could have a little bit of privacy by dragging the curtains over the sheers and giving us a modicum of privacy. Parking was also not available near our room. We were told to park around the corner and drag our bags up the steepish driveway to our room. We were both extremely disappointed with the room and the parking issue because the room itself was lovely. If I were to book here again I would definitely not want the honeymoon suite.

Nice tidy, clean room with a very comfy bed. The owner is lovely and helpful. The thing that let this hotel down was the size of the room. Im fairly short, but when I sat on the bed my knees touched the wall. And it was a double. Which makes things like taking off your shoes or plugging things into the wall difficult. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend a stay here for the elderly or anyone with mobility issues. Also the rooms are kind of stuffy. If you need the air con on for heat, there's not a lot of circulation because the bed is behind a brick wall. There is free wifi, and parking to your door. It's OK for an overnight stay but anything longer I would choose elsewhere.

We only booked this place at the last minute, one week before. It is very nice that they don't have a minimum stay policy. It is on the outskirts of town yet within walking distance of everything. It is next to a park and Quart Pot Creek. We stayed in the Family Room. It is spacious and clean. We also got undercover parking for our car. Our room has a really really nice view. It overlooks the park featuring the Avenue of 100 trees. Not only that. It is definitely a bonus that the room has cutlery and crockery. Thank you to the reception lady who was so helpful. She wanted to know if we needed milk.

We arrived at the Motel, the lady on reception was very good, great personality, very helpful. We entered our room, wow, it was large with a big window, looking out onto the river. Very clean and big seating area couch, a table and chairs and an extra chair. Bathroom was very clean and a great shower, with plenty of hot water, and good pressure. Very good and quiet Air Conditioner. Very comfortable bed, at first we thought May be a bit too firm, but it was extremely comfortable. Although you can see the road from the window there was no road noise at all Great location at the end of the main shopping street, everything is within walking distance, Hotel, Shops Cafes. We will definitely be back

We got lucky with this one. We were two families trying to get last minute accommodation on a public holiday. I'm so happy we were able to get in here. As soon as the door open to the room it was the view that got me (the rest of the motel room is also nice and clean). The person looking after it said his favourite time is Autumn for the view. I was enjoying Spring. I was able to lie in bed and watch a magpie go back and forth to a tree with food for its chicks. There is a microwave with the basic cutlery and crockery. You can see the people who look after this place have pride in The Boulevard Motel.

Big room at the front of the motel had a lounge, tv, bar fridge, microwave and comfy bed overlooking Quart Pot Creek. The room was clean and tidy with a reasonable sized bathroom. Could walk around the corner of the room and sit on the verandah for drinks if you wanted but we were back late from Carnell raceway to enjoy. The manager was friendly and welcoming. The motel is at the end of the main street, Walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants.
