Very nice and friendly

During my stay, I discovered a bed bug infestation in my room, which was incredibly distressing and disgusting. When I originally asked to be moved to a new room, the front desk attendant said they were "all full" for the night and it wasn't until I showed them a plastic bag with a bed bug in it that he offered to find me a new room. They only offered $25(!) initially, which they eventually upped to $75 total, but is absolutely not enough. I was overwhelmed and did not want to fight with their staff as I was traveling alone and concerned for my safety. Once I got home, I had to spend an entire day decontaminating my belongings (basically all of which are still in plastic bags or thrown away) and spend money on cleaning to prevent an infestation at my house, not to mention the itching and scarring from the 30+ bed bug bites I received. I promptly contacted the hotel management, detailing my concerns and requesting a full refund, given the circumstances. However, I received no response to my email, which was disappointing. I had hoped for a swift resolution, but it seems that my concerns were not taken seriously. Guest should be able to expect a clean and pest-free environment during their stay. Clearly, this is not the case at Steam Plant.

This hotel is near all major attractions and restaurants but is next to a cargo train that you think it will pass once a night but this train passes 4 or 5 times and all night long. I will not stay there again.

Homeless people everywhere, right next to busy train line, room smelled like an old pair of bowling alley shoes. Thank goodness our car wasnt broken into. Breakfast was what you’d expect. Nice desk staff though.

I was disappointed with the room and the layout of the property. It was not at all what I expected. It is a half block from the train tracks. Yes trains every couple of hours during the night. The floor squeaked badly and it smelt off! The room was a cracker box compared to the pictures. I spent as little time in the room as I could. People were nice though.

The tv didn’t work, room was dirty, and the breakfast was dry bagels and some yogurt. Definitely would not recommend this place.

The "breakfast" was minimal and unhealthy. Constant train noise and a very noisy air conditioner.

Trains going by all night long - should have realized something was up when we walked in the room and saw the provided earplugs! The door had issues (didn't report) opening. Breakfast was provided but VERY little in reality. A few bagels, a few things of yogurt, etc. 1 coffee carafe, no creamer, etc. They put out tea bags, but there was no hot water to make the tea.

Hotel was nice and clean. Parking lot didn't really feel too safe after hours, would have liked a gated driveway or similar. Train could be a bit loud if passing by and bed felt a little smaller than standard queen. Otherwise, room was nice and served our purpose, staff was readily available and helpful. Would book again.
