錫吉里耶安亞拉森林酒店(Amaara Forest Hotel Sigiriya)

We all loved this hotel. Huge room with a large balcony surrounded by trees full of monkies, chipmunks and all manner of lizards. Great pool. Lovely restaurant who cooked us a very late dinner at 10pm as we had been out all day We used extra services, laundry and room service. It was all spot on. One of our favourite hotels on this trip

This hotel complex is a little tricky to find and access, as the road in is quite damaged. However, once you arrive, you will find the rain forest location inspiring. There are no views as such but just to be in the middle of the forest is enough. The units are one up, one down. We would recommend a top floor until. The rooms themselves are large and tidy. There is the usual facilities in each room. Great shower by the way. You can get room service at anytime, which we made the most of. The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from. For me, no gym was a let down but that is a minor negative. Things are getting to the point of needing updating but still quite servicable. There is a nice pool and small outside bar area. Just to finish, the staff have been geat.

The trip to the Amaara forest hotel was excellent, and the tour we organised with the hotel owner really accommodated to our needs! We were a big group of about 30 family members, so the hotel organised a bus for us to arrive, a birthday dinner for my aunt, and many personal touches to make our stay really great and relaxing. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in the forest.

The hotel and the staff were really nice, they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They even helped to organise taxis for the morning when we wanted to go to sigirya. The Sri Lankan food at the buffet was really good, and they have a live station every meal. They made an amazing Mongolian rice, hoppers and omelettes in the morning. It's easy to access the wildlife park and Sigirya.

Beautiful resort, peaceful and relaxing! Our room was spacious and well appointed. Importantly the bathroom was clean! We found the staff helpful and it was a wonderful touch having someone e play relaxing music by the pool in the morning. We hope to return this year for a longer stay.

Lovely clean spacious room. Beautiful gardens, lake and pool. Restaurant food was fantastic and our waiter Maduranga made us feel special, we looked forward to seeing him every time we visited the restaurant. The location is great, don’t be put off by the short drive down a dirt road, it’s worth it!

The hotel is beautifully nestled amongst the forest, its very peaceful. The staff are lovely and the rooms were very comfortable. The food was great. It's a great location to do alot of activities. Would definitely visit again!

Très bon séjour à l’Amaara Forest, au calme, proche de la nature. Parfait pour profiter de la visite de Sigiriya et une randonnée sur Pidurangala, sites à proximité. Les repas sont de qualités et la piscine est très agréable. Le personnel est souriant et motivé. Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses. Adultes et enfants ont adoré.
