Clean, quiet, comfortable, charming, polite, Breakfast was good! We came down to breakfast and were greeted with a huge smile and welcome each day instead of a grumble I would have expected. There was plenty of hot food waiting and a smiling face to wish us well with the rest of our day. The last day of our stay we came down with only 15 minutes left on breakfast, and everything was still full and hot. The attendant was just as polite and helpful. I was really impressed!! She made our morning!!

Nice historic hotel in the middle of downtown. Lots of good character and detail, modern remodeled bathroom, comfortable bed. Enjoyed the lounge and restaurant attached to the hotel. Will definitely go back again someday.

The night we showed up they were doing a tree lighting on top of the hotel and shooting fireworks off the roof also. The outside and inside were decorated for christmas with multiple trees everywhere. There were people in period clothing there. It was amazing.

It was noisy, cars revving their engines loudly & consistently all hours of the day/night. I felt incredibly unsafe, as their hotel had far too many random unpaying guests roaming the establishment while we were there the first night. The bed we were given was incredibly uncomfortable and I ended up sleeping 2 nights in the bathtub. There was no control over the temp as well because they had it set & locked in the room "due to the pipes". Temperature on the 6th floor was too hot for us at night at times. We have unlimited wifi on our phones so we didn't really need the free wifi there, but when we wanted to watch something on the small tv, it lagged horribly. We tried watching for about 20 minutes on 2 occasions at night and gave up, as it kept freezing. The hot water & pressure are horrendous. Took forever to draw hot water and it does not come out fast enough for a hot bath. The blackout blinds are nice, but ours were broken at the top and created gaps of light coming through. We were also given old worn towels that were worse than the ones you keep stubbornly at your home, but you know you should get rid of. For the price, it's too much. They tacked on $25 daily beyond what we were charged for a 15 lb. small beagle for what they claimed were cleaning fees, but should be cleaning anyway. There is no pool, hot/jet tubs etc. and the room was extremely small. Lacking the vintage charm it boasted.

Wonderful lobby. We biked the Katy trail and could fit our bikes comfortably in our room. I noticed so many bikes in the lobby as an alternate option. So convenient for riding the trail. Breakfast was very good.

This was a great property and the staff was so friendly. Remember this is an older building so manage expectations accordingly. The bar and restaurant were excellent.

Lovely hotel, really comfortable and a really nice change from more modern hotels. Breakfast is included, but the quality of it really needs to increase significantly. The buffet format is fine and expected, but offering something like scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, fresh fruit (vs canned fruit), non-sugared oatmeal (vs heavily sugared instant packs), real half n half for coffee (vs a powdered creamer), would be so much better and a quality that is more in keeping with the hotel.

Beautiful building. The decor was great it showed the history of the building. The only bad part was having to go up and down the flight of stairs to have breakfast. Otherwise it was a great place to stay.

Very cool historic building. Great staff. The restaurant wasn’t bad and the historic details of the dining room are worth checking out
