唐卡洛斯公寓酒店(Alda Don Carlos)

Está en una magnífica zona de Santander, a 1 minuto de la playa primera del Sardinero, se ve que es la mejor zona. Bares, restaurantes, paseo marítimo... Los apartamentos son amplios y bien equipados, una familia de 4 estuvimos perfectos. El desayuno era un extra de 9'50, pero hay supermercados y bares en la zona si no lo quieres hacer. Tiene párking de pago, pero hay mucho en su misma calle si no lo quieres usar. En general muy bien, si volviera a Santander repetiría ahí.

Nos dieron una habitación/apartamento para personas con movilidad reducida a pesar de que ninguno lo somos. La habitación necesita una reforma, había humedades, mal olor por falta de ventilación del aseo, las persianas no cerraban completamente, las ventanas tampoco cerraban correctamente, había una regleta y cables accesibles para los niños. Junto a ello, los colchones y almohadas también necesitan cambi**** y además en el aseo no había champú ni gel y no vi ningún aviso de que no lo proporcionaban. En cuanto. Como positivo, muy cerca de la playa, estaba limpio y las chicas de recepción muy simpáticas y dispuestas a ayudar.

Ubicación inmejorable. Grandes espacios en los apartamentos. Pero baño muy Justo. Si muchos armarios Grandes para largas estancias. Y cocina / salita enorme. Y con todo. Precio razonable. Tiene garaje y cafetería el desayuno algo corto. Se nota mucha limpieza General para repetir.

Hemos estado varias veces alojados en el hotel. Esta limpio y las habitaciones son amplias Esta tan bien situado que es muy cómodo para moverte. Suele haber sitio para aparcar sin problema por la zona. Repetimos seguro

All in all it was a decent hotel/apartment. Location was fantastic, 2 minutes from the beach and restaurants and bus stop. Super market around the corner. The room itself was not bad. Fairly spacious, ample cupboard and storage space, good kitchen amenities. However, the beds were uncomfortable, the pillows were not at all comfortable and there was no air con. This made staying in the room from around 2pm to 7pm unbearable. The bathroom was tiny and the shower cabin was very very narrow which left you no choice but to bump your arms and elbows in the cabin doors each time you shampooed your hair. Reception was friendly but not too helpful. Daily cleaning was good. Towels were soft. Breakfast was good for the price and the main waiter was Eagle to please. If it had aircon I would add a star. It needs a bit of TLC and some form of cooling as temperatures hit over 30 while we were there.

The hotel was lovely, and the gentleman on reception was polite and friendly. However there was no kettle in the room. A coffee maker was provided when we asked and it did the job. Unfortunately the issues came when we went down for dinner. The bar was freezing as was the restaurant. (The staff member serving us at the bar and the restaurant had her coat on!) When we went through for dinner we should have realised there would be issues as there was no one else in there. I ordered the fillet steak at €24. I asked for it to be well done. When it arrived, it was practically blue. After three attempts of sending it back it was still medium at best, so my husband ate it. I ordered a plate of chips (at €5.50) and they were so salty they were inedible. My daughter and I ordered Lemon Tart each (also at €5.50 each). When it arrived it was more of a flan than a tart. We chose not to eat them as we don’t like flan based desserts. Our bill came to €83.36 with an addition of 10% cuota €8.34 so it totalled €91.70. There was nothing to compensate for the inconvenience. When my husband went down to the bar at 22:45 it was closed. Apparently it closes at 10:30.

Tiene muy buena ubicación. El personal del hotel, hay personas magníficas, pero otras mejor se dedican a otras cosas. En el baño no hay ni jabón de las manos, en junio si había, esos recortes dejan mucho que desear.

Estuvimos cuatro noches.El hotel tiene muy buena ubicación, el personal muy amable y buena limpieza.Las camas muy cómodas,pero el DESAYUNO,debería mejorar,es muy poco saludable.Poca fruta y demasiada bollería,no hay pan natural,porque lo pedimos y no tenían,aunque ofrecen tostadas pero no de pan natural.El desayuno sería un punto a mejorar,por lo demás muy recomendable.

Viajamos a Santander desde hace muchos años, y desde hace cuatro siempre vamos al don Carlos. Seguro que hay alguna cosa mejorable en las instalaciones, pero el personal es lo que nos hace decidirnos siempre por este hotel. Todo limpio, cómodo, poco a poco se va renovando el mobiliario, a cinco minutos de las playas y de los autobuses que llevan al centro. María José, Roberto y Mar, que son los que siempre nos han atendido en estos años, maravillosos. Por su amabilidad, poner siempre facilidades y hacer la estancia estupenda. Son un gran activo del Don Carlos aunque hayan cambiado de dueños. Sin duda, volveremos al Don Carlos cuando vayamos a Santander.
