Candlewood Suites 聖馬麗亞(Candlewood Suites Santa Maria)

Maneuvering the street maze to enter the hotel property was daunting as was the limited parking. I did see guests from the neighboring hotel using this hotel’s parking spots. Check-in was easy. No bar soap in bathroom; had to go back to front desk to collect. Room was clean and all equipment was operable. Our room was on the third floor facing the main street. Throughout the night, we heard general traffic noises and the sirens of the local public safety department. In the fog of my sleep, one time I woke thinking the fire department indeed was at the hotel. All in all we would stay here again.

ACCORDING TO OUR TECHNICIAN IT STUNK AND WAS NOT CLEAN AND OUTDATED.

Rooms were out of service and rebooked at other property. I believe the rebooked hotel was of lesser rate than charged on *******.

the kitchen, suites were fine and clean. BUT the chemically enhanced scents they use for cleaning are so overwhelming - we literally had to keep our windows open to air the place out. Our clothes smelled of the same when we arrived home. Any public place should use fragrant free cleaning products. Many people have allergies and are strongly affected by fake perfumated scents filled with chemicals. We had to ask to change our rooms. the AC/Heater did not work properly and the refrigerator in the room was so loud we had to wear earplugs to sleep. the rooms were clean though.. but that scent was throughout the entire place. They take pets there - but the scent was so overpowering - and you could still smell the dogs!

My wife is in a wheelchair and we booked an accessible room. We were given a standard room and by the time we realized it, it was too late to move. The lack of accountability made it very hard to get my wife to the bathroom and into bed.

I seen a roach inside my bathroom as soon as I checked in and was not able to change room even though I payed in full

I didn’t like being in a first floor room because I was not able to open the window because of the cars and people passing by. Also I requested 2 beds and was given 1 which left me and my guest uncomfortable.

The staff was helpful and efficient in processing the arrival and with questions.
