蒙特馬爾酒店，凱悦臻選(Mar Monte Hotel, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt)

Great stay and bed are huge. However the service of a particular staff was really unpleasant and the hotel system does not tally with my booking at all! Trip.Com mentioned breakfast for 3 pax since I booked the stay for 3. Yet the staff insist it was 3 breakfast a day for 1 pax and did not mentioned that there was a $ capped for per pax breakfast. She insisted me to pay and did not want to speak to trip.Com herself. Also, insisted me to call trip.com on my own since I booked through a 3rd party. Help was not offered! I have to spent 30mins to seat at the lobby , ruin our itinery for the day and managed this hassle! Horrible experience overall at mar monte hotel.

We were 10 families that stayed at the Mar Monte for three nights. The location was perfect right in front of the East Beach and the staff particularly Jacqueline (hope I got the name correct) went all the way to ensure we had an awesome stay. The hotel has a nice ambience with balconies overlooking the ocean as a courtyard with firepits that served us well during our stay. The kids enjoyed the heated pool as well as the bikes they rented free from the hotel. We had a memorable Christmas night will all of us celebrating the joy of the season in the outside courtyard. Highly recommend this hotel!!

The view was amazing, but the security latch on our door was broken. There were no vending machines & no pantry at the front desk if you wanted snacks or beverages after 9 p.m. The person or people above us were jumping around or something, so it was loud & hard to sleep at night. The view, the comfortable furniture, & the cleanliness were the good points. Also, parking was difficult & valet parking was way overpriced.

The service was excellent; the room was comfortable with thin walls. The hotel room was good sized and it was nice that there was a spacious fridge. The bathroom would do well with a fan and the thermostat was inconsistent in its function. Overall the hotel was decent but the staff made it great.

First, the elevator on the building that we stay doesn’t work and my room is on the third floor. I had stroller and luggage. So they switch the door and downgrade our room to different building with no fund or compensation. The water pressure are low in our room. The parking is valet only now where you can’t move the car in or out.

See the ocean view deluxe suite room view in the photo; you should write 'partial ocean view' if you want to be honest. Location-wise, it's one of the farthest hotels from downtown, not a walking distance hotel at all. You can spend the same or less money and book a room at the other chain hotel, which is way closer to downtown and a nicer hotel. This hotel offers you nothing, literally nothing. Very old, but it doesn't even offer a vintage feeling, plus room was damp. Such a waste of money. I regret spending money on this hotel.
