黑珍珠旅館(Black Pearl Inn)

My husband and I booked one night accommodations. We arrived well before the 2pm check in time, but they allowed us to enter early since the room was ready. The room (#6 on the second floor) was very clean, the king bed comfortable, the balcony view of the bay was serene, and the staff was wonderful. The location is excellent. We would definitely return to Black Pearl Inn.

You probably should stay here if you are tourists, as opposed to surfers. There are very few places to stay in SJS for you. This has 12 rooms. New, but there are problems to correct: the light and fan are wired together, so you can't sleep with the fan on if you want the light off. The AC works well but we don't usually like to sleep with that. No elevator, but you get a stunning view from the 3rd floor. But plan on lifting your luggage up the spiral staircase. Great breakfast at the Iguana on the beach included. You will need instruction and experience to get hot water, but its not necessary and not worth the trouble. Hot water doesn't circulate in NICA hotels. Only a block from the beach, we got here from CR via caribeshuttle. They were superb, just late an hour on the first ride. NICA time. SJS is not ready for prime time tourists.

Al llegar ni siquiera saben que tenemos reserva cuando estaba ya pagada del dia anterior. Se pone a discutir la administradora con la empleada delante nuestra, el aire no funciona y nos pasan de una habitación a otra así por una hora. Si no le digo que me den la identificación para el desayuno ni se acuerda.No la recomiendo , no voy a volver a un lugar así, hay demasiados hoteles en la zona con precio mas cómodo y mejores servicios y trato.

Great place to stay and Henry was quick to respond when I had a small issue figuring out the hot water. Will def return.

Awesome place, close to everything. Short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shopping, and an awesome ocean and sunset view from the lanai. Henry, the owner, is a great guy, and also owns The Iguana Bar, a mere 500 steps away, which is right on the beach and where you go for your included breakfast. Overall, I would say a great place that I would definitely stay at again.

Black Pearl is run by a friendly Texan and his wife located a bit up a hill on the north side but still very close to everything. I stayed on the first floor and had magnificent view over the bay. The owner also runs a restaurant in front of the beach (two min walk) where multiple choices of breakfast are served a perfect way to start the day. I really enjoyed my stay there and it is highly recommended. In front of all the rooms there is a table and chairs and they also have a nice pool to relax.

Beautiful view of the bay with full sunset! Loved the very spacious terraces to watch the waves and the sunset. Property feels very safe, there is parking in the yard, you get a key to the gate to go in and out as you want. Two blocks from the beach (and far enough from the bar noise). Everything is very clean. Nice warm pool. Fast wifi - my speed tests showed 50 Mbps up and down. Very happy I picked this place for my stay.

This place was everything. It's now the place I got to in my head to relax. I think about the delicious food steps away. I think about the sparkling clean pool. I think about the extra hot water and the huge shower head. Oh and I think about the quality mattress and amazing pillows I enjoyed while gazing at the ocean through the open door. Literally felt like we were on top of the world. Private, safe and felt luxurious.
