Very un accommodating for our large party of 40. No reservations for dining would be available for hours. Limited food choices. Servers seemed completely disinterested in trying to provide good service. Almost to the point of being rude. We had some food allergies and that person ended up eating the same food for 18 meals straight even though at the time of booking they had convinced us that many gluten free Choices would be available. Drinks were completely watered down. We requested to play a few of our song choices and they completely refused. I would Have understood if the club was packed but there was not a single person there other than our group. Spend your money somewhere else.

The staff is EXTREMELY friendly, helpful and eager to ensure you’re enjoying your time at the resort. They property is well maintained. The rooms are a bit dated, but spacious and immaculate. The food is mediocre, at best, and the gym needs an upgrade. Not enough gluten free options at the buffet (only white bread and muffins).

We had a terrific family vacation. The crown jewel was the service level and attention we received from the staff, from Fernanda (entertainment team) to Hugo (Cabana Rep). Everyone made us and our kids feel welcomed, engaged and made our vacation a memorable one. Highly recommend and will for sure come back.

This was a truly fantastic place to be. It is now my new favorite location to visit and the Hyatt Ziva was absolutely fantastic. A simple post here would not do it justice. Take a leap of faith based on my recommendation and book this place!

Although the scenery is beautiful, there were many negatives for this hotel that outweighed the “good”. WiFi connectivity was good throughout the hotel, but not excellent. Food that was advertised was no where near what was presented…very disappointing. 2 out of 5 restaurants for dinner were good such as Baja grill and Dozo Asian. However, the service at these restaurants are hit or miss. At times you have to wait over a hour just to be seated and sometimes just 20 minutes (for a party of 2). There is NOT a swimmable beach. The room that was given had 2 showers that 1 did not work. SOO MANY KIDS, so if traveling as a family this would be great for you, not as a couple trying to relax! Here’s the biggest negative though, they tried to pressure us into getting a membership. They made it sound like it was just a couple minutes sign up thing but we were later told that we had to sit through a 90 minute presentation and do much more. We immediately declined and they told us “no hard feelings” but there were. Few of the workers that were trying to convince us to get the membership clearly had hard feelings. Simply, we would never go back to any Ziva resort. The entertainment was decent with nightly shows, but many parts felt forced. Especially with their brain washing ridiculous song that they kept forcing us to dance to after EVERY SINGLE ACTIVITY. Overall, it was a getaway for us but now we know not to return for these reasons.

Although, the resort is beautiful but amenities are limited and food options are terrible. Besides the Japanese restaurant, all the other options are mediocre. On top of that, the hours of service for these restaurants are ridiculous and it doesn’t help that room service takes up to 2 hours. Hyatt Ziva has truly declined in quality over the years. The only memorable part of this hotel stayed is Alejandro, he is personable and truly an asset to the hotel unlike some of the others staff who we could tell couldn’t care less to accommodate the guests.
