The Hotel Goldener Hirsch was such a treat- a 5 star experience in the heart of the city. The room was well appointed, service was exceptional, and food was good. We really enjoyed the Al La carte breakfast each morning, and the selection of foods offered many options. The entrance is located on a beautiful cobblestone street in the city center.

An authentic Austrian experience in an outstanding hotel with customer service that is second to none. It’s because of this that we have stayed at Hotel Goldener Hirsch numerous times over the past two decades. During that time the hotel and its team has evolved and maintained a quality of service and standard of accommodation of the highest order. The simple fact is that this is a place that we look forward to visiting every time. The hotel is located on the historic Getreidegasse. The rooms are or a good size, beautifully decorated and furnished and have everything you need. The beds and pillows are heavenly. You can imagine this is what it’s like to sleep on a cloud! The staff are absolutely fantastic. They are ready to help in any way possible and it’s always good to see familiar faces when we return together with new members of the team. We cannot imagine visiting Salzburg without staying at Hotel Goldener Hirsch.

This lovely 70 room hotel in old town Salzburg is one of the best places I've ever stayed. From the moment we walked in to the time we checked, we were made to feel so very special. The staff checked us in and walked us to the room and provided a quick tour and update on the room appointments. The room was so quaint and comfortable. Beautiful sitting area and bathroom were a definite plus. Only thing we didn't understand was the separate comforters on the bed. The breakfast and bar were both equally wonderful. The staff was so attentive and the food and drink were exceptional.

Wow! What a place --- 10/10. Amazingly friendly staff, an incredibly luxurious stay and a "can't be beat" location right on Getreidegasse. Definitely a splurge for a quick city stay in Salzburg for my wife and I but 100% worth it. While the hotel is 5 stars, it feels comfortable at the same time. The room was incredibly spacious and the service from the staff was top notch. It was also super fun to be right on the main street ---- directly across from the coolest drinking spot in town.
