聖約翰海港景觀希爾頓逸林酒店(Quality Hotel Harbourview)

L'hôtel est confortable, propre, au calme, bien situé avec une superbe vue sur le port. La chambre était spacieuse et avec une belle décoration intérieure (notamment la salle de bain). Le ménage est fait quotidiennement. Le personnel est accueillant et un suivi quotidien est fait sur le confort. Il y a du thé et café (sachets) gratuit dans la chambre. Le bémol est que les prix sont assez élevés, sans petit déjeuner inclus et le restaurant sur place (qui a une carte pour pdj, brunch, déjeuner et dîner) est cher aussi. 200$ de caution prélevés également. Il est possible de réserver un taxi pour l'aéroport (hélas cher aussi : forfait de 35$ pour 12 minutes de trajet!!).

bien situé, vue sur le port l'accueil n'est qu'en anglais, désolant pour un hilton dans un pays bilingue le fonctionnement du petit déjeuner inclus ne nous a pas été expliqué ni les services offerts par l'hôtel la chambre était très bien, propre parking accessible y compris gros véhicule

Excellent location , staff are very friendly , I didn’t have a room with a view of the harbor but room was clean and quiet a lot of hotels you can hear people coming and going at all hours. I didnt get a chance to eat in the restaurant but I’ve heard others say it’s pretty decent food.

Our experience at this hotel was wonderful. The rooms were clean, a little small but the view over the harbor was beautiful. The staff just couldn't do enough to make us happy. The reception people always greeted us with a smile and recognized us when coming in the front door. And we just can't say enough about the breakfast staff. Always smiling, happy and were full of information when we asked for help on what were the best places to eat and what were the best attractions to go see. And did I mention the food at the restaurant was excellent. Absolutely amazing!

No matter the service and amenities, there are some things that you cannot change. At this Doubletree, it is the natural landscape necessitating a steep and awkward entrance at the bottom of a hill. Our bus had to park on the sidestreet with our easiest access being a good walk through the parking garage, and up the elevator to the lobby. The alternative was to walk uphill on the narrow and steep sidewalk to the front entrance. Newfoundlanders in St. John's would find this normal - as seniors from flat Ontario, it was not. To be sure, the location supercedes any challenge to enter the building. The Doubletree is positioned within easy access to multiple eateries, shops, art galleries, bars, a pedestrain street, tourist attractions, the Port of St. John's right on the waterfront, and the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the city. So much is happening on Duckworth and Front Streets, all within walking distance! We had a very nice welcome with punch and a tasty cookie. Our room had the usual expected amenities with comfortable beds, great linen, a nicely renovated bathroom, fridge, wine glasses, in-room safe, multiple outlets and great towels. The downside was poor lighting - the "spotlights" might be trendy, but not functional, as much more useful, dedicated light is needed. The A/C was too loud, and the mattress box is a hazard to your leg as you walk by. I really dislike them! Love the 'porthole' in the bathroom door and the glow light for night time use without the glare of the regular light. As well, room service was basiclally non-existent during our 3-day stay, though we did get the overflowing garbage and recycling emptied when we asked. Breakfast for our group was slow and disorganized. Three morning...three different approaches. We realize staffing is a problem, and appreciate the issues. Understanding this, the rating is more on the facility than the service.

We spent three days in St. John's with the Doubletree as our home base. The property is very nice with a lovely restaurant located onsite. The staff are friendly, the rooms are comfortable and it is conveniently located on the harbour and walking distance to George Street as well as all the other hot spots.

We were at this hotel during our group tour of the Atlantic provinces. We booked rooms for the group 6 months ago and we were welcomed with a nice surprise when checking in. At first, they could not find our reservation or the room list we sent. When we showed them the email confirmation, they hurried up to deny it by saying that it’s not their email address. However, magically one of their clerks finally found the rooms with our names and started to read them out??? The hotels has 5 floors with at least 45 rooms per floor. We booked 6 months ahead and they could not give us 11 rooms on the same floor. Instead, we had 2-3 rooms on each floor. We travelled with high school minors so we really spent our days going up and down to help and survey the kids. For the welcome cookies of Double Tree, they did not receive the dough so when we asked, we got cookies from grocery store. The hotel is indeed just average considering the location, the service and the stay quality. We gave 3 stars because they finally apologized for the 2h check-in and made an effort to buy the cookies from the grocery for us. However, there are better hotels which is closer to the Center with better view.

Good price for what you get. Great location close to everything. Rooms alright. Average gym. Very $$$$ dining. Worth the money if the hotel is not your main focus during your stay in the city. I would stay again.

Great hotel with harbour views. Chocolate chip cookie on arrival. The room was very good, had everything. Some odd looking light fixtures but they worked. Bathroom was good with a porthole in the door. Good breakfast. Well located to walk downtown.
