The location is great. Located on the street where all banks, stores, supermarkets and restaurants located. The st albans cathedral abbey is just located opposite of the hotel. However, for the amenities, it would be best if they could provide hair conditioner.

Overall good stay.
We did have an issue with people fighting in the corridor at 1am which, whilst not the hotels fault, did put a bit of a damper on the stay due to broken sleep.
Rooms were clean, but ours did show some signs of aging. Biggest fault was the bathroom fan which was on constantly, the constant hum was very annoying and kept my wife awake.
To finish on a high, the breakfast was super and well worth purchasing and all the staff were great!!

Booked this for my gran who is in her late 70s and she had a great experience. Very accessible room, friendly staff, good breakfast (she raved about this every morning), great location too. Big shout out to Lorraine who works in the restaurant (my gran really loved chatting to her each morning) she was very helpful and kind, thank you!

Stay was good, room very nice apart from some of the fixtures and fittings falling off walls. Toilet Roll Holder and bed side light fitting almost loose. Looks like either insufficient length screws/pooe rawplugs used or no plywood patresses in walls behind plasterboard.

We liked the position (near the cathedral) and the availability of a disabled parking space. Not impressed by the choice of food available, apart from breakfast. Definitely did not like the noise from people walking around in the room above - presumably this noisiness is partly due to the fact that the rooms are not fully carpeted. As we are old and go to bed early, we would prefer somewhere quieter.

A really nice hotel. Friendly staff made us very welcome. We attended a Graduation ceremony at the Cathedral so the location was 100% perfect. The hotel is surrounded by decent coffee shops and restaurants - so it was the ideal location.
If you have a graduation from Herts Uni next year book early as the Cathedral is just across the road!!

Wonderfully decorated with amazing & friendly staff. Was a perfect quaint option with a great value. The only gripe was how thin the walls were. You can hear everything which I'm sure is on account of the older bones of the place. Unfortunately staying on the first level with possible children in the room above meant for some noisy afternoons & evenings. Also wished the television was SmartTV capable with Google Chromecast or apps to sign into etc.
