OMG! The photos ion the ********** website is deceiving. I booked this hotel thru **********. We checked in and proceed to our room. Opened the door and immediately smelled like pee. Stains were all over the floor with a tear about 3 inches in the carpet. Went downstairs to tell the clerk that we can't stay in this room. She mentioned, she can change us to a different room. I said, no we will go somewhere else because most likely the other rooms are just as bad. Been there, done that before. They said they are not going to refund my money because they have a "No refund Policy". I can see that if someone booked a room and no showed...not for a legit reason. They asked me to come back and speak to the Mgr the next morning. Did that and she she wasn't going to give me a refund. She said the GM is standing 20' away if I wanted to complain to him...so I did. Complaint went in 1 ear out the next. On top of that, 2 doors down a dog was barking nonstop because it heard people in the hall. Not sure why they would even rent a room looking like this. When I got back home, I had to call my bank to get my money back. Hotel charged me for incidentals, which most do, and I didn't get that back. Terrible hotel and service. I included a couple photos.

Front desk individual was exceptionally unpleasant, and somewhat deceptive. Room was nice, breakfast was nice

Walked into my room and there was no mattress and the room was extremely dirty. They obviously gave us a different room that was decent but unfortunately the first impression was still in my mind.

My room was spacious and well-appointed, clean and comfortable. Great included breakfast with cooked option, not the nasty plastic-covered pastries but fresh muffins and fruit. Staff friendly, helpful, and polite. Stores and restaurants close by, plenty of parking space. My go-to for Rapid City.

Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable enough. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Great spot for a nights stay. Great accommodations and very clean and spacious. Staff were extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again.

I choose this property over another one at a lesser price with more accomodations in the room because we had had great experiences at 2 other Comfort Inn & Suites this week during our travels. However the desk clerk, Olivia, has no idea what she is doing or knowledge of customer service. She couldn't answer any questions and only kept referred me to the manager in the morning. She knew nothing about the Choice rewards program that popped up on the screen at check in. She even threatened to cancel my reservation. However, the next morning the desk clerk, Joy, certainly matched her name. She was a Joy to speak to and was able to handle all our needs and payment correctly and had great customer service skills. She understood exactly what we were referring to. She spent a good bit of time reversing what had previously been done to process it correctly. On a positive side, I did enjoy the space of the room. This is a very spacious minimalist/modern type property. Fits a conference center as it is.
