Gran hotel 5 estrellas, excelente atención, variedad de actividades outdoor y la calidez en el servicio genial. Una especial mención a Tania (quien nos atendió a la mesa todas las noches), Ricardo (quien nos atendió en todos los desayunos), John (que preparaba unos tragos exquisitos), Simón (nuestro guía del floating), Victoria (guía de la quesería) y a los chicos de la recepción: Risa, Sofía, Agustín y Jessica. Una atención excepcional, todos siempre con una sonrisa, buena disposición y además lograron aprenderse todos los nombres de los integrantes de mi familia, lo que se valora muchísimo.

5 jours et 4 nuitées dans cet établissement dit de haut standing. A notre arrivée tardive du fait de la neige et des bourrasques de vent inhabituelles en cette période, le guide nous reçoit empressé et je me vois même recevoir une remarque car je ne viens pas immédiatement au salon pour discuter du programme du lendemain ayant un besoin urgent à assouvir. Aucune activité possible avant 09h30 et rien qui débute tardivement. A l’arrivée dans notre chambre 7 nous constatons qu’il y fait 15 degrés Celsius. Le chauffage ne fonctionne pas et la réceptionniste nous propose de faire un feu dans la cheminée. Lorsque je prend ma douche après le dîner, j’observe qu’il n’y a pas d’eau chaude et me douche donc a l’eau froide. La nuit fut courte car a 3h00 du matin je me réveille car plus de feu dans la cheminée et une température de 16 degrés Celsius dans la chambre. J’en informe le manager dès 08h00 lorsque nous arrivons pour le petit déjeuner. Ce dernier m’assure que le problème va être résolu dans la journée. Le soir venu toujours pas de chauffage ni d’eau chaude et aucune information préalable sur la situation. Nous nous douchons à nouveau comme la veille et le matin à l’eau froide et j’entretiens toute la nuit le feu de cheminée pour ne pas geler car dehors la température avoisine les 1 degré Celsius. Le cadre a beau être magnifique mais sans eau chaude et sans chauffage il est difficile d’apprécier. Le lendemain matin j’informe à nouveau le manager qu’il n’est plus possible pour nous de rester sans eau et sans chauffage et il me propose de changer de chambre à notre retour dans l’après-midi si les problèmes ne sont pas résolus. A notre retour il y a du chauffage mais toujours pas d’eau chaude. Je me rends donc à la réception et demande le manager qui n’est plus là. La réceptionniste n’a aucune information et je lui demande de trouver une solution pour que l’on puisse se doucher avec de l’eau chaude. Une solution est trouvée par cette dernière et nous allons donc nous doucher dans la chambre 8 qui jouxte la notre et qui n’est pas occupée. Merci Madame ! Il peut arriver des incidents techniques mais l’absence d’information au client pose vraiment problème et là le manager manque vraiment de savoir faire en matière de communication car laisser son client découvrir chaque soir que les problèmes qui devaient être réglés dans la journée ne l’ont pas été n’est pas acceptable. C’est bien dommage car la chambre est spacieuse et la présence d’une cheminée à foyer fermé intéressante. La carte du petit déjeuner est riche mais là aussi il est difficile d’obtenir juste 3 tranches de jambon fumé. Nous passons donc par une assiette avec jambon, charcuterie et fromage dont je ne prendrai que les 3 tranches de jambon cru fumé demandé à l’origine. Au restaurant,les plats servis ne sont pas à mon goût car il y a partout du citron hyper acide, du vinaigre de balsamique et toujours les mêmes garnitures. Mon estomac n’en peut plus et j’en souffre. Kind of falling apart, ****s, buildings need minor but consistent maintenence in and out. Peeling paint. Roofing shingles/ trash within view in many places. Tile falling off.. Dead flowers in plnaters. No attention to detail in maintenance. No pool (crazy!). Food was good. Things stored here and there (covered in dust and leaves) in public places (next to the hot tub). Service is friendly but consistent mistakes and poor follow through in restaurant (with exceptions. Constanza was great!). Hotel staff better than restaurant. **Very** expensive for a sub par experience. Not polished AT ALL. Much nicer hotels in Lake region like: Hotel AWA and Futangue. (1/3 and 1/4 the cost!) VV feels like a slowly dying property being milked for all they can get, from a better past, before a demise. Neglected. Vibe is stuffy, and quiet in a sad way. The neighborhood that you enter and exit through is full of dilapidated homes and a motorcycle campground. If the area is so bad/ shabby/ dilapidated, why do people pay so much to stay there?! We talked to some neighbors and they said that they can't comprehend why the visitors pay so much to stay in their area which is the same as VV, but *very* low cost. I agreed that I DO NOT understand the cost. Zero magic. Nothing special (in comparison to competitiors). No great vibes. I feel cheated.

We have used andBeyond's services quite a bit to visit various destinations such as Tanzania, India &Peru. Everything has always been great with andBeyond, except for our last trip - the one to Chile and Argentina, thanks to the unprofessional attitude of the two company employees in Argentina. These are Catalina and Nicolás. They have been rude and uncooperative in searching of our personal belongings and luggage which they lost by their fault. They tried charging us ridiculous amounts of money for sending us our packages. We were surprised that it was even possible for professionals in the field to behave so badly and consistently, but alas, despite our urgings to behave more professionally and politely, things got even worse. We went on this adventure with the mindset of something great, but received a very disappointing service, which leaves a bad taste on our overall experience.

We were so very pleased to find andBeyond in South America and that Vira Vira lives up to the brand. It is a beautiful property along the river with incredibly attentive service, abundant activities, and some of the best food and beverages of any luxury lodge in the world. We thoroughly enjoyed the fly fishing, visit with the Mapuche, hiking, kayaking, and touring the cheese factory. Special thanks to Nicholas, Juan Pablo, Simon, Philipe, and Jorge for their guiding, and to Greg, Sofia, Jessica, Juan, John, Ricardo, Bastian, Nelson, and the entire team there. Highly recommend for any visit to Pucón.

This is an incredible hotel, in an amazing location with fantastic staff. They have an organic garden and cheese making facility on site. The food is truly world class and very fresh. Our guide was a more than 20 resident of the area and a professional photographer who enabled a world class experience.
