港島全景旅舍(Island View Lodge)

It was OK. The bathroom door was kind of old and didn't close. Other than that, pretty decent. You can see the ocean from your room.

Thought we pulled into the wrong hotel. Nothing like the photos. Garbage all over the parking lot. Undergoing renovations, furniture all over balcony’s, exterior is missing siding. Looks very dingey and divey. We immediately had second thoughts on staying. We checked into our room hoping it was nicer on the inside but the room was awful and got increasingly worse the longer we spent in it and the more we noticed things. To list a few: food garbage left, the walls and floors in horrible shape with damage and horrible ‘repairs’ everywhere. Floors are sinking and walls are ripped/torn/dented and in some places have unsanded drywall. The smoke alarm was not up and was found in a drawer. The light was burnt out so we only had a lamp in the room. The bathroom door doesn’t click shut and swings open from the pressure of opening the front door. Dirt and dust. Stained sheets. Main floor to the divey parking window does NOT lock could be slid open. Room was FREEZING already. We had the heat cranked for hours and it did not warm up. One of the beds is broken and if you sit at the foot the whole head of the head lifts up. Two kids were to sleep on it but when we sat down for a book we thought it would break. Didn’t want to look under the bed but dropped something and happened to look and it looks like it’s NEVER been swept or mopped. Poor cleaning, felt unsafe, very disappointed. Can’t believe they’re renting these rooms out in this condition. Would not recommend. Awful.

Motel is undergoing Renovations to update the rooms. The rooms were perfectly acceptable for the price.

Property under total construction/renovation with NO on-site staff…..nobody at the desk so had to call a phone number to speak with someone. First room we got had no security lock on the door and the TV didn’t work. Second room we got had only one little desk lamp for light. Hair in bathtub. Pathetic 3 little cushions masquerading as pillows for a Queen size bed.

More lighting in the room. There was no Kleenex type tissue paper. The coffee and tea arrangement was ver minimal.

First room they gave had stains on sheets. They gave me a new room showing no surprise also stained sheets. Disgusting.

Older hotel in the historic townsite area with theatre, good dining and townsite brewery all in walking distance. Clean, comfortable, nice views and friendly accommodating staff.

Average motel. Sheets had stains so it's a good thing we brought our own. Cleanliness is around a 2.5/5. Indian restaurant next to it is convenient, skip the pakoras, biryani is great.

It's a nice, but older property, in a convenient part of old Powell River. The staff if friendly. The rooms are clean. Some are more renovated than others. The Wifi is good. Few plugs, thin walls, and noisy pipes are the only real downsides.
