Upon arrival, I asked for the highest floor available and was given third floor. I then had to come back downstairs and request another room and then I was moved to the seventh floor where the AC was not working on the entire floor which was pretty uncomfortable and then upon check out I am charged an extra $50 on top of the $50 incidental fee and no one has an answer for it so at this point I’ll be requesting a full refund or a free night stay. I’m a Bonvoy member and I spend thousands of dollars with the Marriott

My husband and I stay at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale West Hotel every time we visit the area. This is the only hotel that we stay in as it always feels like home. I am a clean freak and the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale West Hotel never lets us down. From the outside grounds of the hotel, to the lobby and the hotel rooms are always clean and well stocked. This past Friday I booked a hotel reservation at the last minute (12:30AM). We were not set to arrive in Fort Lauderdale until 4:30AM. Once I made our hotel reservations and received my hotel confirmation email, I noticed upon reading the confirmation email that the Renaissance stopped allowing check-in after 2AM. I decided to call the front desk to ask for a one time consideration and Ms. Lori who worked at the front desk was able to get me checked in over the phone. Ms. Lori was absolutely phenomenal and was so patient with me as we were upset thinking we wouldn’t be able to check -in until later that day (4PM). My husband and I were so exhausted from the fifteen hour drive. We pulled up to the hotel I was at the lobby desk for maybe ten minutes getting my hotel key and then we were off to our room. To Ms. Lori and the rest of the hotel staff the Ellis family thanks you for all of your hard work and dedication to your customers and making sure they’re satisfied. Until we see each other again…peace and blessings.

This property is a gem. It beat our expectation as we booked it for a night with no major expectations. However, upon arrival we were stunned at the property’s beauty, elegance and decor. This property is beautifully designed and the staff was pleasant and professional. Prior to arrival we were concerned that we wouldn’t be able to find food options in the area, which wasn’t a problem because hotel has a bar and restaurant that served the most delicious drinks and entrees until 11 pm that Saturday night. The bartender Isa was phenomenal, we had a long day and flight chaos with Spirit. Our flight was delayed which caused us to miss our connecting flight back home, ended up staying a night in Fort Lauderdale, which at first was devastating, but once we arrived at the property the staff and Isa made us glad we booked this accommodation. We had a fabulous experience, the room was super clean and spacious. 10/10 overall.

I am disappointed that for the fourth time with a stay in Florida that hotels charge a room hold to a credit card that equals the entire bill and does not get released to the credit card for up to 10 days after the stay has ended. This process is very unfair to the consumer holding money for 10 days

Very nice hotel, super accommodating staff @ front desk to allow a very early check-in was most welcome. BUT, a wedding party gathering and photo shoot on the 2nd floor elevator lobby directly outside my door when the entire purpose of checking in early was to get some quiet time away from noise and people was most unwelcome.

There was a soccer tournament and this is where most of our team stayed. The restaurant gave us a separate room since we had about 20 people. The Bartender Kennedy was amazing served amazing drinks! Our server Isa took such great care of us. She always had a smile on her face and was laughing with us. They made us feel welcome! Would definitely stay here again.

Was very clean , staff very attentive. But the breakfast was poor quality . Limited selections and stale pastry , dry selections, no milk for cereal? Would definitely skip breakfast better options near by, stayed at other properties where the brunch was worth more than the cost
