The people were wonderful. This is a less expensive room and a great value.

This is the second place we’ve stayed in Placencia, and normally I don’t write reviews at all (I know, shame on me) but I had to when I saw the first review said this place ruined their vacation then proceeded to talk about a pool at the hotel and a safe in the room. I’m not sure where that person stayed but it wasn’t here. The Serenade has neither of these things! What they do have is hot water and air conditioning (the other place we stayed for the same price did not), extremely kind employees and beach access. It’s nothing fancy but we’d definitely stay here again! Oh, and they need to update their pictures of the outside. If you’re walking down the Placencia sidewalk looking for the place it is not yellow, look for a grayish building!

The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed. Absolutely wonderful.

It was in a great location and Richard was super helpful, even brought me a fridge.

We are actually in the hotel right now. Just arrived. It is the worse customer service we ever had. when we came our room was not ready. We asked to wait for 20 min ... our room was not ready. another 20 min... repeated. tipped - got a key. asked for quiet room - got the pool view with a lot of music... Guess we have to tip again to change the room???? trying to use a safe - not instruction - save log is 1234... really?????? called - waiting for 40 min... Gues - look for updates... Hello managers - if you want to contact us - we are here... Needless to mentioned that no one offer us the drink when we came, no one helped us with the luggage... no beach towels in the room... 5 stars???

Seemed to be an issue with the reservation ss they were not expecting us. The hotel seemed to be closed for renovation but they accommodated us. We had reserved 2 nights but wanted to cancel secind nihht. After much delay they refunded the second night, thanks to **********. Location is good and service was good
