佩塔瓦瓦河酒店及套房(Petawawa River Inn & Suites)

The hotel is located at the outskirts of Petawawa. Even though it is near the river, it is not a feature. The hotel is part of the complex with a smorgasbord of various businesses and services: intercity bus stop, Purolator/FedEx shipping point, bar/nightclub, pizzeria, sandwich shop, laundry, convenience store, and I’m sure some other services. As a hotel guest you get 20% off on food at the bar and the sandwich shop. We stayed in room 102 with two queen beds. Everything inside was dated, but clean and well-maintained. There were a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room. Our view was a literal brick wall. The room also had Netflix and a DVD player (apparently not every room has those). Wi-fi was pretty reliable at 26 Mbps. A loud in-wall AC/heater was controlled by a thermostat. Water pressure in the shower was good, despite an outdated showerhead. Pro-tip: if the water in the tub starts to fill up too much, turn the stopper to drain water (there is a label on it to that effect). Being on the first floor results in a lot of cigarette smoke being ****** in from the outside through the doors, but the windows don't open. The first-floor hallway was also loud - higher floors might be quieter. No breakfast at the hotel, but there are a few options nearby, like Subway, within a walking distance. Be prepared to pay for your stay at check in.

La chambre était super. Beaucoup d’espace et une grande propreté. Le marché d’accommodation est très pratique. Par contre l’espace extérieur vers la rivière est franchement négligé

Overall, this property is just okay. The beds are comfortable, and the room is spacious. However, there are a couple things to know: If you are drawn to this place because of the awesome views of the river, you should know that the only way it’s visible is from the deck of the restaurant (attached to the hotel). We stayed on the second floor. There’s no elevator, and the stairwell is dated (could use a fresh coat of paint and some professional cleaning). The room was clean, but the air conditioning is rather loud when it’s running.

Das Zimmer war sauber. Aber leider hat man viel von den anderen Zimmern gehört.

Hello, this is Poutine Feast we are traveling Festival, we have been staying at this beautiful hotel for many years now the staff is exceptional. The food was really good and we will definitely be coming back next year especially thanks to Odette for being so organized and making all our stay for the week so amazing. The rooms were very clean. We were very lucky to have the room with the Jacuzzi and I can say that I was very impressed as always we will definitely be back next year. Thanks again.

The property was very close to the base, therefore driving back and forth was a short drive. There are tons of places to eat and drink coffee in minutes

Over all great value for money, spacious room, all amenities are available, few restaurants in walking distance, liked the location, next to a big park

I had trouble at check in. It seems my card had been declined. I wish I had been made aware of this before I left. Luckily, I had a second credit card or I would have been out in the cold. In spite of my request to have the room cleaned every morning, that didn’t happen after the first night. It was remedied when I went to the front desk the next morning and again, made the request. I had to turn off (unplug) the air conditioner due to noise. Other than this, my stay was a good one.

Overall good stay! Front desk reception a little too laid back, eating Icecream as she checked us in!
