Eco度假勝地酒店(Eco Torarica)

Keurig hotel. Er zijn drie - op korte afstand van elkaar gelegen - Torarica. Dit is de meest simpele. Maar alles is er. Mooie kamer, zwembad(je) achteraan op het complex, met handdoeken. Ontbijtbuffet dat af en toe hapert ( koffie is op bijvoorbeeld en dan duurt het even) . Je kunt trouwens ook op vertoon van je kamerkaart, ontbijten in het volgende hotel. Dat heeft een uitgebreider buffet en een groter zwembad. De duurste Torarica heeft ontbijt a la carte ( duurt lang) en het mooiste zwembad.

lokatie is netjes. bij ontbijt is een ontspannend sfeer met muziek heb genoten. geweldig was het.

Op zich is de locatie goed maar prijsverhouding niet

We stayed 3 nights in Eco Torarica and loved it. Before, we were 2 nights in another hotel we did not like, and were possible to change to Eco Torarica. Our room was big and beautiful and had all we needed, hot shower, fridge, coffee and tea and a small terrace. No hairdryer. You can ask one at the reception, but it is not sure that it will work... Breakfast is yummie with a lot of choices and you eat it at a nice terrace. Swimmingpool is small, but lovely and wit a view at the river. People working at the hotel are friendly and helpful. Location is good with some restaurants nearby and at walking distance to the touristic sights. Recommended0

First of all, upon checking-in the front desk staff informed me that my reservation did not include breakfast. Which I know I had booked inclusive of breakfast, I was asked to provide the evidence which I did immediately, and later asked to submit the information via email. I never received a response and has to inquire several times what is the status with my issue. At last I was informed that it was approved and my stay included breakfast (after inquiring about 8 times), however EVERY morning I went to dine I was informed that my booking does not include breakfast. This was very embrasing, as everyday I had to reiterate the same story! The staff had to inquire from the front-desk, who then had to inquire from reservation if I am allowed breakfast EVERYDAY! Secondly, my room was inadequately prepared, there was no soap in the bathroom dispenser, no face tissue, no bath mat, no iron iron board (had to request). Additionally, there were some kind of bugs in the pillows/sheets (I am not sure). I checked with my doctor upon retuning home regarding the itches and bumps on my neck and feet and he informed it is bedbugs. I am very dissatisfied with my stay at Eco Inn. At least the restaurant and bar staff were very nice and courteous (5-stars to them only).

My first trip to Suriname was an enjoyable experience. Arriving First Class on Suriname Airways and treated to a VIP’s Welcome on arrival. The Protocol Officers quickly whisked me away to a Private Room while they took care of the Immigration and Customs Procedures. The transportation to Eco Torarica was also exceptional. It was truly a special moment. Exceptional People with a Love and Respect for preservation of Nature.

We came to the Eco Torarica after previously staying in another hotel in Paramaribo that did not meet our needs. The 'Eco" was a vast improvement and my review may be a bit coloured by that. This is a nice looking hotel with an older building containing the restaurant/bar and newer buildings to the side for the accommodation. We stayed single nights on 2 different occasions. My first room had twin beds that were pushed together but made up separately. The 2nd had 1 queen bed. Both rooms were of a reasonable size with balcony. There was a fridge and kettle and a safe that didn't work in the 1st room but was okay in the 2nd. The wifi was good and everything in the hotel seemed clean and in good repair. The only irritant was the a/c which was centrally controlled, couldn't be turned off (!) and couldn't have the temperature raised above 23oC. I was an ice cube within minutes and eventually won the concession of having my setting changed to allow the on/off switch to function. In the 2nd room I discovered that opening the door to the balcony resulted in the a/c switching off. What is that about? There was an ice machine near my first room which is the 1st that I have seen in the Guianas. The hotel has a small but nice pool with a non-functioning pool bar. A good breakfast was served in a separate open building. We had 1 dinner in the restaurant which was somewhat odd. A small menu of mostly small dishes. Not cheap - possibly the upper end of standard for the city. My food was good and the bar prices seemed very reasonable. It was possible to pay by credit card which involved going down to the reception area that seemed to have the only card machine. I liked this hotel, especially after the previous sub-optimal accommodation and would consider returning.

Alles perfect geregeld met super ontbijt, kort gelegen bij het uitgaanscentrum van Paramaribo. Ook bezienswaardigheden van Paramaribo zoals het Fort Zeelandia, de houten woningen cetera zeer nabij. Alles te voet bereikbaar.
