克連卡羅非洲營地(AfriCamps Klein Karoo)

Zuid Afrika is mooi maar de rust, stilte en het schitterende uitzicht zijn kenmerkend voor Klein Karoe. Een stukje van de weg liggen een 12tal prachtige tenten. Volledig ingericht, dus airco, ijskast, prima badkamer, uitstekend bed. De braai staat klaar en voor een paar centen heb je een braaipakket en braaihout. Bij zonsondergang komen de dieren drinken in het meer, vlak voor je neus. (Wij hadden tent 7). Het aantal verschillende vogels is enorm. Het personeel is innemend sympathiek en erg behulpzaam. Er is een heerlijk zwembad inclusief stoelen, handdoeken en een heel klein winkeltje voor bier, wijn, fris en dat soort zaken. Wakker worden midden in de natuur en ontbijten van het ontbijtpakket is een heerlijke ervaring.

Great Location, Beautiful Views, Friendly Staff, Well Equipped Tents and the food baskets made the stay so easy we didn't have to think about anything could just arrive and everything we needed was there and ready for us!

Peaceful glamping with nature. This was a last minute booking and a great find…! My husband saw this advertised when most of our trip was already booked and planned but we made a last minute change to spend one night here, and it was our favourite of all! Our accommodation was exactly as the website said. Tents fully equipped with all you need for a comfortable night under canvas. There was a rustic but perfectly functioning kitchen area with gas stove, microwave, and toaster, plenty of pots and pans, and a small supply of tea and coffee, including 2 bottles of water already cooling in the fridge. Our tent had a large shower and toilet, and included a log burner, air con, eating and lounge area that opened out on to a decking area with your own BBQ. Everything was lovely and clean. We purchased a few supplies from the local supermarket before we arrived, including coals for the BBQ, but our hosts supplied fire lighters. We were in tent 10 which overlooked the small lake and as we were slightly elevated I think we had a better view. The pool area was a little basic and had just enough chairs for all, with towels provided, however you could get cold drinks and relax in the 39 degree heat! We BBQ’d and watched the sun set, and then star gazed until we found the ‘Southern Star’ only visible in the Southern hemisphere..! I got up at sunrise and sat on the veranda watching the impala walk around the lake, listening to the wildlife and generally being thankful for the experience

If you are looking for an amazing family holiday, look no further. You have everything you need in the tent. Even air conditioning! There are 2 pools and a safe to swim in dam. The Cango Caves is around the corner, you can interact with wildlife at the Cango ranch and see ostriches all nearby the camp. We were there over new years and it was so amazingly quiet. We will definitely go again!

I thought this site was great! Easy to find, secure and a very pretty setting around the lake. The ‘tents’ were very spaciously set apart so lots of privacy and I think there were only maybe 12 in total. The tents themselves were brilliantly appointed and very comfortable, only thing missing was braii tools. There was plenty of wood supplies for both indoor and outdoor fires and the indoor one kept the entire place very warm! We had a really fun weekend and would definitely return or maybe try another camp with hot tubs, that would be even better!

We had a wonderful stay at Africamps in Oudtshoorn. Tents had everything we needed. During load shedding the inverter keeps the lights on and there is always hot water thanks to the gas geyser. We ordered the breakfast basket and it was delicious and more than enough. Also rented 2 e-bikes for the day , lots of places to explore. Fireplace inside the tent and the warm blankets on the bed came in handy during the very cold nights. Overall we had a great time with our kids, will definitely be going back!

Our second Africamps stay and Klein Karoo was just as great as the first! The views from the tent were breathtaking, the tent was clean, neat and well-appointed, with comfy beds. The staff were very welcoming. We look forward to visiting Klein Karoo again in the future and to visits to other Africamps sites

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Waking up for a nice cup of coffee just outside the tent is lovely and when the evenings where cold we put on the fire. The location is very good for exploring the area

We stayed there for 1 night on our way from Cape Town to Plettenberg Bay as we wanted to take some back roads and enjoy the scenery. The booking procedure was very easy and the whole experience was great. The two tents we had were clean, we ordered the Braaipacks which was convenient and fun and the staff were very friendly. Our kids enjoyed running around and the playground. We visited in winter and it was cold at night but they had warm extra blankets as well as heated blankets which made it warm even at night. We will definitely come again.
