波特卡爾旅館(Port-O-Call Inn)

Electrical didn’t work for my fridge in first room. Moved to a second room. Fridge didn’t chill the food but the plug worked. Dodgy area these days. Also the hot water barely worked and no significant pressure. I needed a third night but decided I would take it elsewhere. Not worth $100 per night. Staff were friendly. Looked like someone took a crowbar to my bugscreen in the past as pictured. Thank kind of place.

Didn't realize we booked a reno instead of a room. One bed was broken, and couldn't be used. The A/C was a pirtable unit that cooled the floor only. The shower, though nicely renovated had no water flow. The power went out partially, and needed staff to reset. There was an ice machine, but nothing to put it in. Overall, not good.

This was one of the most horrendous experiences I've had. The parking lot is very narrow, difficult to manoeuvre, with nowhere to turn around. I was advised by the staff member to drive around the building and park behind the hotel essentially, which there was no space to do, and ended up having to reverse back through the parking lot. The stalls are so small most people were taking up 2 spots, which was necessary for me as well to access my children's car seats. Upon arrival our room was hotter inside than outside (during the extreme heatwave) with 2 fans going. The thermostat displayed 35 degrees in the room. There was reminants of a stand up air conditioner left in the window. Was absolutely so upset to not have any AC in this heat with 2 small children. Front desk advised the breaker must be flipped and they would fix that or refund me......the thermostat eventually dropped to 31 and no lower ....... I had to wrap one child sleeping in cold towels to cool down to avoid heat illness and the youngest had a cold bath....at 11pm. As we went to lay in the fan to cool off both fans and the TV turned on. Front desk advised it would be a 5 minute wait. 20 minutes later I had to call again and the staff sounded annoyed and said it would be 5 minutes. I reminded them it had already been 20 minutes and was still 31 degrees in the room at 12am....and my 2 year old is still awake sweating..Fans came on shortly. I stayed here to be close to the ferry and wake at 3 am. Angry.

The front desk person tried to charge us for the room even though we had prepaid through the ********** app. It was late and we were tired. Even though we showed the receipt from the app. They still had to phone someone. Did i say it was late and we were tired. Turns out the clerk didn't understand their own hotels paperwork.

This motel is not in a good part of town and, being a motel, is directly accessible by people wandering in the streets. We had folks banging on our door 3 times during the early morning between 5:30 and 7:30 am.

The tub looked clean but there was an indication that it was not Thoroughly cleaned. No AC in our room - kinda wondered if all rooms are same. Light bulbs not all working. Heavy duty extension cord in room ??? Was the room not finished being renovated?

Budget friendly , neighbourhood is a bit sketchy, some staff friendly, some not.
