蒙特利爾日耳曼酒店(Hotel le Germain Montreal)

Terrible experience. Only 2 hangars in the closet (for a room that is supposed to have 2 guests), tv wasn’t working / issues with channels and having the tv turning off automatically (now fixed as technician had to come in), wifi not working (now fixed), one side lamp not working (technician had to come in), nespresso machine not turning on (i haven’t bothered to tell them). I went for breakfast at the restaurant - they forgot my toast and when they finally delivered it, it was cold bread and not even toasted. Took forever to get new toast and by then the poached eggs got hard. Service was just not attentive at all… it’s been one issue after another. Also, when checking in, the floors didn’t seem to have been mopped or vacuumed as well. I’m surprised as in the past I’ve stayed at Germain hotels in Calgary and Toronto and it’s been exceptional. Not this trip in Montreal - not the type of experience one would expect from an otherwise high end hotel. Normally i don’t complain / write a review but felt i had to this time.

Great stay overall, although a little let down by the fact new towels were provided 3 days in a row even though I had placed the used ones on the one (and only) hook in the bathroom to signify my intent to keep using them. Loved the convenient access to a water bottle filler by the elevators on each floor. Appreciated the option to grab one of the free green apples placed as décor by the elevators.

I am from Montréal but now living abroad, it was my first time staying at Le Germain while visiting friends/family. It was such a surprising thing to discover this perfectly Located hotel with great amenities and wonderful staff. I loved it so much that I stayed again while coming back from visiting friends outside of Montreal prior to heading out for the airport! I Will be a loyal customer!

Le Germain in Montreal is a nice quiet boutique hotel with lovely, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The shower system was slightly tricky to figure out. The front desk area needs to be expanded in size and to include more people who can either check people in or attend to questions. There were generally two people there and they were constantly busy. Check in took a while. The restaurant was just “ok” for breakfast. I was hoping for something more creative. I didn’t find a lot of places within walking distance of there to eat so I’m not sure how “walkable “ this hotel is. But overall Le Germain was a nice place to stay.

Front desk and reception staff were excellent. Unfortunately the hand set of room phone and the safe did not work. Also, thermostat did not adjust and no one came to look at it after our call. The night table had some drink marks on it although the rest of the room was very clean. These are all easy fixes that would significantly improve the experience.

Prime location just steps from Rue St. Catherine in the heart of downtown - shopping, restaurants, museums, Place des Arts etc. The Guest Service is top notch and the Le Germain bed/beddings are the sweetest of dreams.

Nicely designed and comfortable. Unfortunately someone left an alarm to ring at 5:30 AM and it rang for an hour. Then the next morning very loud construction noise started at 6:30 AM. The bathroom door stuck and required some fiddling before it only shut part way. If not for the noise, the location is very convenient for downtown and McGill U.

Seemed to have a limited amount of staff members for how busy it a weekend it was. Staff was friendly but visibly very busy - but by necessity. There was a homeless lady wandering the hotel for several hours. We saw her upon leaving in the lobby and when we returned she was roaming floors picking up apples and appeared to leave — but was in the lobby asleep when we left again later. We should have reported it but thought twice she was leaving.
