seems dated and old. slow internet. strange when you check in that front desk person says they have to go check to make sure the room is clean because they are having a problem with housekeeping...kind of a turn off

This particular Holiday Inn has recently changed ownership. The current daytime female general manager is mentally unbalanced and hostile to guests. She has no place working with the public. When I complained to her at mid day that the room I was in had not been cleaned for 2 nites she locked me out of the room (which I had prepaid for 7 nites), accosted me verbally, called in the Douglas County Sheriffs, and under refunded the balance on account to the wrong credit card. The sheriffs (3 of them showed up) confirmed that they were often called out to this property. This is the most expensive hotel in the area. And badly flawed in terms of management. Seriously: stay far away from this place. A lawsuit against this manager and the corporate entity that owns this Holiday Inn has been initiated.

We stayed here for 1 night, after skiing in Kirkwood. Loved the hotel. The rooms are super spacious and eveything was to our liking. Will defn stay here again rather than south lake tahoe while skiing in Kirkwood.

We were there for 6 nights. This place has the best overall staff we have encountered in years (and we stay in hotels around 50 nights per year). Special thumb up to Haley whom never seemed annoyed by our many requests ; she is very task and customer oriented! Also a positive mention to sweet shy Paola who also is doing a great job. The breakfast is nice and was alwsyd ready a bit earlier than than announced time which we really appreciated since we like to leave really early to secure parking at rhe ski reaorts. The location is so nice to drive to heavenly (nevada parking lots) or kirkwood since we never know what the wheather will bring (and thats how we decide between the two mountains in the morning) Overall staff 10/10. Location 10/10 . Comfort of the room 10/10. Unfortunatly not sound proofed but overall experience deserves a 10/10. Will stay here again when wanting to split days between heavenly and kirkwood!

It was a great place to stay clean and hotel staff always smiling and breakfast was the best.

Very friendly service. Clean rooms. Friendly Halloween decorations. The morning breakfast was great.

The staff was polite and helpful. It was in a great location and had lots of parking.

Lovely big rooms with room for all 4 of us, nice breakfast. Beautiful view of the mountains from the breakfast room windows.

Easy access. Breakfast could have been better with different options. Service was great. Microwave didn’t work in our room, that was a bummer when trying to heat leftovers and make popcorn. Would recommend and stay again.
