猛獁溪旅館(The Mammoth Creek Inn)

Property is really outdated, looks like they tried doing a “4renovation” consisting on painting over really old furniture. Bad chemical smell from the use of excessive carpet cleaner to mask the old dirty carpets. Old TV. On the good side, staff was very friendly and the bathroom looked better than the rest if the room.

We liked that there was a hot tub, but when we went to use it, there were some 10 year olds making weird TikTok videos in it. We also didn’t get any sleep while we stayed because you can hear everything. People walking around, talking, showering, TVs, etc. it was not a comfortable stay, and way overpriced for the lack of comfort. I’ve never been so disappointed in a hotel before. The best thing about it was that it was walking distance to restaurants.

I never stayed there. I attempted to contact management 3 days prior to my stay and never heard back from them.

Clean and cozy. Nice staff and amenities. Looking forward to staying here again next trip to Mammoth.

Great place to stop in while riding. Only caveat as with any ski building you are going to hear kids stomping around in ski boots etc, but that’s par for the course.

Mammoth Creek Inn was a decent place to stay. Some creaky floor boards, but everything was clean and comfortable. However, there was a knocking noise coming from outside that kept us awake from 5:30 am. We were also able to hear water flowing noises from the room above when they flush their toilets.

Appreciated that Tom took the time to give us ideas about near by trails. Tom was very friendly.

Always a wonderful stay at Mammoth Creek inn. I’ve been coming here for at least 15 years. The staff is kind, location is great. Best bang for buck hotel in Mammoth
