Staff was nice, room was clean, would stay again. Was given a bottle of water at check in

We were pleasantly surprised with this property. The only negative , in my opinion, is the exterior of the building looks a bit rundown and since this hotel was formerly a Holiday Inn, there is no new signage ( we weren’t even sure we were in the right place)! Once we went in though, the hotel and staff were quite pleasant . The rooms were well appointed and the breakfast offered lots of options . Great location to walk to events and dining in downtown London.

They had a false fire and we had to leave the premises..I was just getting out of the shower..wet hair, outside for 20 minutes. Which made me late for my event in why I had rented the room to begin with. I should get a big discount Please advise Sylvie

We booked for 2 nights, but only stayed 1. Had to leave. At check-in, the king room we booked was downgraded to a queen. Then they gave us a room on the same floor as the 10-yr olds hockey team. Screaming kids until 12:45am. Chips and pop cans left in the hallways. Only 1 elevator working so long waits. We were not comfortable at all, so left early and drove 2.5 hours home late at night, rather than stay here.

The hallway was full ilof kids playing hockey at 11pm . The room was dirty. Urine on toilet seat, empty pop cap on the table. Room was also dusty. Was told to wait 20 minutes to clean. Here for work and drove 3hrs not impressed

AC on all the time. It wouldn’t shut off. The grills of the unit were blocked with ice. When the controls on the wall were adjusted in favour of the heat setting nothing changed. The room was cold all night.The carpet snd walls were filthy. The plumbing worked. There was plenty of hot water.

There is no signage outside the building to identify as Allure, making it difficult to find. The parking garage was being used by homeless persons as shelter, as was the area just outside the entrance to the building. While the overall interior, lobby, common areas, and our room appeared clean; upon entering our room we were greeted with unpleasant smell, sort of body odour / mildew like. The “blackout curtains” were only able to cover the left and right of the window, and could not be closed (as the track didn’t go all the way to the middle). Leaving a 3-4’ gap in the middle with only shears… so we were awake as soon as the sun came up.

Staff were very nice and polite but the hotel is in rough shape! Wallpaper peeling, stains on walls, bathroom was very run down. Only one elevator working. Very small room.
