Nice cultural experience

This was a last minute decision, as we had no intention of visiting that day. I'm glad we were able to make reservations at the last minute. The whole experience was enjoyable. From the drumming lessons, going to each tribal village, the dances, and finally the buffet dinner. I would suggest more food options for the buffet. I tried new foods such as Ostrich meat and crocodile meat; that was exciting. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Great service . Very welcoming staff. Food was great. Beautiful traditional experience with near retro life experience in the great bundu setup. Food was also great. Place also close by to other recreational places such as the Lion Park and Cradle of Humankind

I am a French guide bringing French people to visit SA. During Lesidi visit, I had the chance to work with the staff to translate to my guests. The staff was very careful and answered all our question. I really appreciate their arrangement. Personally, Lesidi is a place I would not miss ! It is mind blowing, colorful and fun for adults and children. The dance are spectacular. The village is a huge source of knowledge and brings a lots of information to visitors that do not know the different tribes. You need this knowledge to understand SA !

Aha Lesedi Cultural village was an incredible place for us to have our short one night and one day leadership conference. The facilities were immaculate, terrific security, wonderful food, incredible staff and tasteful entertainment celebrating the beauty and unity of South Africans. Nothing was too much trouble, adjustments and changes were accommodated with ease and the staff show great initiative plus attention to detail... we will be back in future.. so glad we discovered this gem just outside Jo'burg!

Customer Background: We are an US citizen family of 7 with 5 kiddos - the youngest is 5 years old. We've been living in RSA for 3 years and we travel around the world, previously living/visiting in various countries in continents such as Europe, Asia, Oceania, and now Africa. Went for the drum and dance sessions, and dinner. There's a shop there for souvenirs - you must haggle as I picked up giraffe statue and saw the price and when I picked up another item, a lady told me she would sell the giraffe for a higher price. I was confused, but I showed her the price tag and she said she would give me that price only if I bought another item at full price. I wasn't in the mood to haggle as it was really hot outside so I put both items back and went to buy myself a drink instead. The drum session was fun. The place is very worn down - but everyone in my family had a good time at the drum session. The dance was very informative and entertaining - however - the place it is done in is enclosed and it gets very loud. My five year old did okay with the noise but some of my other kiddos had to hold their ears because the loud sounds and the dance is very long. I would see if they can cut down the dance session to maybe 15 minutes - or open the doors or move it to an open area where the music is not so loud or enclosed. Maybe there are rules around it, but it gets really loud, so bring something to cover ears if you are sensitive to sounds for that long. The dinner buffet was nice. We did not stay the night, we were passing through on a road trip and stayed elsewhere.

Very friendly and cheerful people, great food, comfortable, clean and quiet rooms. The cultural tour is very interesting to anyone who wants to know better the roots of Africa. Definitely worth the visit!
