奧莉安德旅館(Oleander Guest House)

Kimberley is a very quiet and laid back place. I was very surprised that my office put me at this guest house. My expectations were average . When i got to the place i was blown away by the warm and efficient reception, beautiful look and feel of the place, lovely dinner and breakfast plus a super clean and organized room

The rooms are very strange, I don't understand why guest houses / b&b's / hotels like the bathroom to be a part of the bedroom. If you don't mind watching your partner on the toilet then this will be fine to stay at. The room we stayed in was very large but had 8 or more mirrors on the many cupboards facing the bed. The bathroom was almost the same size as the bedroom but had no privacy whatsoever. We had dinner in the restaurant which was really lovely. Breakfast on the other hand was a total disaster. I am sure that the chef didn't show up and that the cleaner had tried to make breakfast. Don't order the omelettes, they are like dry Frisbees. We even ordered a replacement breakfast and that was also a disaster. Lovely pool / sitting area, noisy bird that doesn't keep quiet. Fine for a quick stop.

We had an awesome stay, staff was friendly and helpful, place was clean and tidy, breakfast was served promptly and was delicious. They have exceded our expectations,we will definitely go there again, it's really an awesome place a real gem.

Lovely accomodation. Spacious, bright and clean. Room was right next to pool. The house itself was beautiful which included reception and dining area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Gorgeous the parrot kept us entertained

What a fabulous place! My husband and I went to see the sights of Kimberley as part of our road trip and arrived on our anniversary. In our room was a bottle of bubbles, a box of Lindt chocolates and a lovely note. What a start to a fabulous stay! We were in room number 1 which is just inside the front door. It is air conditioned which is very pleasing as it was very hot. The room is large with a comprehensive dressing room and large bathroom. So beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. Lovely crisp linen, fluffy towels and best of all, a Nespresso-like coffee machine for an early cuppa and a rusk. The service is impeccable and the food excellent. Pool towels are in the room and the pool is clean and substantial. There are very comfortable long chairs and shaded seating area too. The African Grey provides the entertainment! The lodge is located in a lovely street from which you can walk to the Long Cecil war .emorial and McGregor Museum, and is central to other attractions. We had a superb stay and will be back!

What wonderful overnight stop at this 5 star guest house in Kimberley. From the warm and welcoming staff to the lovely grounds with the huge oleander in the carpark to the excellent and comfortable room we loved every minute of our stay. Slightly disappointing was the dinner as my chicken dish was on the dry side and the panna cotta too much gelatine which made it stodgy. The breakfast of eggs benedict with smoked salmon, however, was delicious. We will definitely go there again.

Stayed here 2 nights. Our room included a small sitting room. The pool water was cold but welcome in the heat! Everything functioned well. We feltvery safe there. Carel in particular was extremely efficient. We also ate our evening meals there which were excellent. Great wine choice.

Lovely stay over on our way back to Gauteng. Rooms were neat, clean and comfortable with a view of the swimming pool area. Breakfast was really good with a good variety to select from. Old house that has been beautifully restored with wooden floors. Appreciated the automatic upgrade to a better room.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival & our friends our friends who needed a plug point for their portable freezer were assisted promptly. Our rooms were well appointed & comfortable. Lovely areas around the pool to rest, chat & enjoy a drink. The dinner & breakfast were delicious.
