柏林霍夫酒店(Hotel Berliner Hof)

Wir haben den Berliner Hof beim Start einer Kreuzfahrt ab Kiel in Anspruche genommen. Zum Arrangement gehörten neben der Übernachtung auch das Parken des Autos und die Taxitransfers zum Ostseekai. Alles hat sehr gut geklappt. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Wir hatten ein ruhiges Zimmer zum Innenhof, das groß und zweckmäßig eingerichtet war. Sehr zentrale Lage.

Sehr gute Lage, gleich gegenüber Hauptbahnhof. Relativ geräumige, funktionale Zimmer, mit allem Nötigen, was man braucht. Gute Matratzen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Sehr freundliches Personal.

We stayed in Berliner Hof in Dusseldorf for 3 nights, courtesy of ***********. Our room was described as a Double "DeLuxe." Two very old beds with 4 separate mattresses, one of which was badly soiled and covered with a cheap sheet.The pillows were rock hard.A proper night's sleep was impossible.I was bitten by bed bugs and have pictures to prove it. The lighting was very dim and one bedside lamp was inaccessible due to the bed , which was too heavy to move, masking the switch. The small safe which we would never have used , was lying in a box in the so called wardrobe . The television was broken .We insisted that it be fixed. They spent about 3 hours in our room over 2 days , running cables up the walls and outside, and eventually got us about 7 channels, all of which were pretty much useless.No national news channels which you expect in a place called " hotel" The bathroom, which was described in reception as new , did not live up to that description.The shower panels were filthy and I would suggest, a health hazard.One small dispenser of cheap liquid soap was on the shower floor.There was no shampoo .The towels were also cheap and worn. The back of the toilet was very dirty and likewise the radiator in the bathroom. There were no glasses in the room.We had to go to reception to get them. The WiFi was at best, intermittent, but really a waste of time. We were allowed only one pass key which made our stay difficult as we were doing different things during the day, and reception was not manned 24 hours. On our third day , the room was not visited, no rubbish removed, no cleaning, and no towels replaced. The noise from the street prohibited the opening of a window. I would not describe the area around the hotel as particularly safe. We have pictures to support the above. All for the princely sum of 448 Euros. I have given 1 star to enable me to write the review., otherwise it is 0 stars.

Gut ist dass es eine Wallbox gibt, an der mein E-Auto über Nacht geladen werden konnte.

Flot hotel og god service

This is not a fancy hotel, but it is a solid value for being so close to the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and quickly took care of a question that I had. I recommend including the breakfast buffet, as it provided a nice selection of German breakfast items. I was able to store my luggage at the front desk after checking out for the rest of the afternoon.

We had a most enjoyable stay in this hotel. Our room was very nice, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast excellent. Although rooms do not have a kettle, free hot drinks are offered from a machine in the reception area. No other drinks are available in the hotel, as there is no bar or lounge. The hotel is right by some of Kiel’s major shopping centres and the main railway station is a short walk away. Most local buses also stop nearby and the ferry terminals are easily walkable without heavy luggage.

Easy to stay at hotel 1 block from the train station. A little cramped but clean and staff spoke adequate English and were helpful when needed. Good breakfast with a lot of choices. Close to all public transport. Take advantage of the 9 E pass to use most public transit in Germany while you can. That's quite a help to satisfy your wanderlust.

I was one of several crews of Mein Schiff 1 who stayed here for one night prior to embarkation at Kiel in early December. I stayed in room 103 which is single bed room, and for a room for only one person this is a pretty good room. The desk is very wide so you can put lots of your stuffs in there. They also offer you two bottles of water in the mini fridge but I didn't try them since it cost a money. The bathroom is quite spacious and has a heater as well just like in the room. The wardrobe is a little bit small to hang your clotches, but I think that's enough for one person. Wifi was excellent and very stable, so no complaints about that. The on-site restaurant where they provide us breakfast, lunch and dinner was nice. There are not many choice available for us but I have no complaints about them and that's just enough for all of us; overall the food tasted good. The staffs in there were also quite helpful. The lobby area isn't that big but it's comfortable enough. They also provide coffee and tea next to the front desk, but unfortunately the hot water wasn't available because the machine wasn't working during our stay. There is also a bar upstair but I didn't look at it since it was closed. Staffs were very friendly and helpful, and they always remind us to wear mask at all times everytime we were in the public areas, since it was mandatory due to the pandemic. Finally, the location is good. It is just within a walking distance to the train station and the Sophienhof shopping center which is just right behind it. Further walking down about 10 or 15 minutes you can reach the shopping streets with various shops, including a TKMaxx, Saturn and Woolworth stores. Overall it was a great stay, and I'd recommend it.
