戈比山小屋(Goibib Mountain Lodge)

Quelle surprise ! Nous sommes arrêtés à l’improviste, après que l’état de la route devant nous mener à Hobas, nous ait fait faire demi-t’oit... Quel endroit! Très propre, très bien équipé ! Nous étions, sauf erreur, les seuls clients et tout était en parfait état de fonctionnement et propre. André et son épouse ont été tres charmants. Dommage que nous ne soyons restés qu’une seule nuit.

We camped here in a truck with a roof top tent, it is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The owners here were friendly and welcoming, it was easy to find, just off the main road. There is a swimming pool which is a simply wonderful place to cool down and de stress. The ablution block is brilliant, spacious and really clean. Nice brai block with water tap, electrics and bin by each camping spot. A really good place to stay. Wifi in the bar/communal area was good.

We had to postpone our stay with 4 days, the owner went out of his way and assisted. Dinner 8 star. Friendly and people's people. We arrived later than Expected Andre was in comms all the time and when our guests arrived everything was ready and it felt like arriving home with family. We then requested additional rooms as not everyone wanted to stay with other people, Andre helped without hesitation and went out his way to accommodate our requests. Stunning place and will definitely plan our trips around the venue to be able to stay with our new found friends and catch up on all the happenings. Dinner was warm real organic food that was fresh and filling. The staff is friendly and service great.

Ideal for a stopover when travelling from Cape Town to Namibia. Ablutions are excellent and very clean. Camp sites are well positioned with some having covered cement slabs. The is a swimming pool and wi-fi is available, albeit not at the camp sites. Took a look at the rooms and they are clean and neatly furnished. Only negative is that is not much lighting at the camp site and finding your way to the ablutions at night is daunting. Will definitely be staying there when travelling to Etosha again in 2024.

Perfect Stop on my way to Windhoek. Rooms was clean and neat. Had a splash in the pool to get away from the extreme heat. Loved the location and silence. Perfect spot to get ready for the road ahead. Will stay there again.

We originally booked for camping at Goibib but as we needed to get a very early start to get across the border we decided to rather stay in the available rooms. We were very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and enjoyed our stay in the clean and comfortable rooms. I would really recommend Goibib as a stay over, especially when travelling toward the SA border as it is only 2 hours away. PS: The camping facilities are also very neat and we would have loved to camp there.
