Fabulous hotel, best wheelchair accessible room we have ever been in, huge fully accessible, king-size bed, with fabulous wetroom which even had a second accessible sink. We absolutely loved it and will definitely visit again. The spa was also accessible and lovely. Lifts weren't great, only one was wheelchair accessible and could wait ages, and to get to reception was an open and tempremental lift but you can get out through spa to avoid this. Overall fabulous stay, even had charging points in car park.

During our stay the hotel was hosting a conference which they clearly could not support whilst also catering to other hotel guests. Firstly, we could not use the hotel car park as there was a large lorry parked unloading the marquees for the conference for the duration of our 2 day stay. Secondly, the breakfast hours were reduced by 1 hour and 15 minutes without any notification from hotel staff at any point during check-in, this was so that the conference could be setup in the morning. This meant that there were long queues for breakfast and we were rushed to leave by 08:45. On the second morning, the queues were so long for that we were not served breakfast and were turned away. Thirdly, due to the conference, parts of the hotel were cluttered with desks and signage so the hotel bar was not an inviting place to relax as it was overcrowded with conference attendees. The hotel clearly cannot cater for conferences if it has to impact hotel guests. It is disappointing that the hotel did not message us prior to arrival about these changes, especially as they had been messaging check-in information before arrival, these changes would have been useful to know about. In terms of the room, they were unbearably warm with no air conditioning as well as various surfaces, including the headboard, being dusty with rubbish from the previous hotel guests still on the floor. Bathroom was equally dirty, with dirty tiles and slow drains in the bath. Overall, a terrible experience.

Too much queuing - like 30 defo to check in, and breakfast then to queue again to get food! Rang reception as booked a king size got just over a single for me and my husband at 6ft 3” couldn’t get through, went downstairs- another queue!!!

Room smelt slightly damp and wasn’t the cleanest. General upkeep of the hotel was poor with missing toiletries(empty bottles) and empty tissue box. General laziness from housekeeping staff was evident

Reception staff were really helpful during check-in. The hotel has been recently renovated to a very high standard. Spacious and modern room with lots of extras we didn’t expect such as a mini fridge and safe. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. We had a really nice and relaxing stay.

Lovely hotel, couldn’t be more central in Harrogate. The swimming pool facility is very welcome and although access times are limited for children (7-9am and 57pm) this was fine for us. Breakfast was very nice and staff are all friendly and helpful.
