Sink plug control did not work, pulled out plug and found it was disgusting, no cups or glasses in the room, or bench for a suitcase. Had to put it on the desk. Finally moved to a different room. New room was better but tub did not drain well and had about an inch of water in it by the time I finished a short shower. Staff was nice but heard others who had problems. They are redoing the rooms and outside areas. Perhaps a refurnished room would not have the problems. This hotel is dated and being brought up to date. Would stay again because of the staff but would check out the room before moving in. No elevator so ask for a ground floor room.

The toilet in room 2208 was installed too close to the wall. And a question, who still has double beds instead of queens? This place does. A little tight for my wife and myself. The refrigerator in the room buzzed intermittently and required a jostle to get it to quiet down, then it would start again.

The overall experience was fine. We had a comfortable place to sleep when not with family. The room had bottled water waiting and a fridge which was most appreciated. We didn't eat breakfast and didn't realize they served dinner as there were no signs (they told us at check out that some of that information was removed from the rooms as they begin to renovate). Staff was friendly, check in and out was simple and parking was convenient. I'd consider them for future stays in the area - especially since they are renovating as the hallway carpets certainly do need a refresh. Be aware - there is no elevator and while you can access levels 1 and 2 from outside, level 3 requires a flight of stairs.

My room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I found the staff to be inviting and kind. I was highly disappointed with the breakfast brunch. There's the gorgeous dining room with a terrible buffet. I was there on a Saturday morning and halfway through the breakfast service, I was the only person to come to eat. I paid $15 for a reheated eggs, homestyle potatoes and sausage patties. It's a horrible waste as what I didn't eat would likely be thrown out. Instead, have a $10 omelette and waffle station or a simple free continental option. If that's not feasible, just don't offer breakfast.

First room, carpet was soaked and smelled like car urine. Honestly could've dealt with that since i had to be up early for a flight, but then when i turned the air on to sleep, a foul smell encompassed the room. Not to mention the escort service that was going on next door. Headed to the front desk, told the clerk what was going on, and he gave me another room. Walked in to that one, tub was dripping. Like dripping to where i thought it was still running. So i thru some towels so i couldn't hear the water run. Went to turn the air on and noticed this...picture attached below. I will say the front desk clerk was very polite at least. Guess i can't add a pic...AC was mold infested

Over night stay . Got in around 10:30p. Gentleman at counter was quick courteous and friendly . Got our room . Beds were very comfortable. Tv wasn’t greasiest had issue at first to get to work but then it finally worked wasn’t clearest video but it’s ok was heading to bed. Shower was decent room was clean .

The lobby was inviting. My hallway was dark. Exercise room was adequate. Room was clean and in decent shape. Toilet was loose on the floor and seat broken. I couldn’t get the tv to work or shut off.

We stayed one night after a trip to Hershey Park. Check-in was simple and quick. I would agree with other reviewers that the hotel is old but clean. I did notice upon departure while checking under beds to make sure we didn't miss anything that there were beer cans up against the bed frame. Not sure how housekeeping missed that, but otherwise our room was clean and beds were comfy!

The Penn Harris Hotel Harrisburg, Trademark by Wyndham was a nice, quiet, and clean place to stay just outside of downtown Harrisburg. The staff I interacted with were helpful and answered all my questions. The one thing that was a little disappointing was that Sunday am Brunch was not included, but rather a separate charge to dine in the on property restaurant, and they ended at 9am, which is pretty early for Sunday Brunch.
