A lovely room and great customer service from Brigitte and Steve. Very centrally located. the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The complimentary Continental Breakfast was yummy and the Cappuccinos delicious. The breakfast room was light and cheery with a lovely outlook.

Steve and Brigitte are exceptional hosts, always friendly and responsive to any requests. The motel is in a perfect mid-town location, with excellent rooms and undercover parking. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Mackellar Motel Gunnedah.

So clean, spacious and comfortable. The shower and bed linen, including superb pillows are foremost in my memory. Wish we had stayed for longer than one night. We enjoyed our brief stay and felt completely rested. Will definitely return. Highly recommend!

Excellent large sized rooms, not boxy at all. Large Bathroom with great water pressure & hot shower. Beds were very comfortable & pillows excellent. Super clean & fresh. Yes more costly but you get what you pay for & these rooms are worth the extra. Our new stop over place in Gunnedah over all others we’ve tried in the past. Highly recommend . Handy to everything as right in town & opposite local Bowls Club with excellent meals for weary travellers Gary & Sonia Berry

I was left very upset after being given a room that had no water coming out of the hot tap. After a day travelling no shower or wash unless I used cold water. Told they couldn’t do anything about it. Won’t be going there again. Rooms were decent and clean. Service definitely lacking.

My third stay here ( stay 2 nights ) Great place right in town. Clean rooms , cute breakfast area . Stayed in a spa room this time. Nice big room. Best thing is layout of this room( 25)as it’s last room on the row. Bed tucked in back of room. Window is at front and it was darkest room I’ve stayed in which is fabulous for those of us who hate the light !!! In hotel rooms. Was no noise there either. Not the cheapest in town but if I want the best I’d stay there.

The motel is old but very well maintained. The fittings and furniture in my room appeared to be quite new. The room was spacious, clean, attractive and had all the facilities I needed including effective air conditioning, a comfortable bed, plenty of power points, a desk, comfortable chairs, good lighting and enough pressure in the shower. Staff members I encountered were pleasant and helpful. The motel is well located in a main street. The breakfast was simple but sufficient.

Terrific stay. Very neat and clean. Quiet setting and great location walking distance to all amenities. Directly across the road is Club Gunnedah which provides magnificent meals which are reasonably priced. Would recommend the Motel to anyone.

We took a group of 32 people to Gunnedah for four days and stayed at the Mackellar Motel. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with very comfortable beds and a large bathroom. It was a very hot period so we were grateful for the efficient aircon. Steve & Brigitte were marvellous in looking after us. Steve cooked a great breakfast and Brigitte made great coffee. Steve even set up tables for us in the front courtyard where we enjoyed our pre dinner snacks and drinks in the shade from the afternoon sun.We have stayed here before and never disappointed - the best motel in Gunnedah.
