Non descript looking motel - however, all have been redone and very pleasant to stay in. Right on the river so one can soak. Also, easy walk to town for beverages and food. Reasonable rates as well which is always good!

Very clean, spotless room. I would definitely recommend this motel to other family and friends. Pet friendly rooms available also. The TVs are equipped with a Roku box so you can watch Netflix, etc. There is a microwave, fridge and coffeemaker for your convenience. Did I already say the room was spotless? We would definitely stay here again.

This was our third stay in this motel, we brought our friends with us. Everything was fantastic until we realized we had bed bugs bites all over our bodies. The problem is that our friends who stayed in the next unit did not have any bites and got a 50% refund for all the trouble with cleaning their clothes, shoes and motorcycle gear-as a precaution. We actually called the motel to let them know they had bed bugs to make sure they took all the necessary steps to deal with that issue. The person who answered the phone thanked my husband and offered a “smoking” rate next time we book with them. Very disappointing, the way we were treated. And btw, I gave Johnnys Motel excellent reviews in the past bc we honestly enjoyed our stays there. I guess they dont value their customers.

This place was great! Clean rooms, comfy shower and bed, just what's needed in the room (TV, mini-fridge with freezer, microwave, phone charger USB plugin...), a friendly, warm, and helpful host. The prices are also very reasonable. I recommend it.

This is a great, cost effective place to stay in Grand Forks. Rooms are clean and recently updated. Despite being beside the highway they are quiet at night. Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay.

Lodging was at a premium when we booked our long weekend in Grand Forks, so I expected the area to be kind of hectic. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not to be the case. This motel was especially quiet. You could occasionally hear some road noise, but that was almost always the fault of motorcyclists with very loud motors. Otherwise, it was a peaceful spot. The room was fairly spacious, as was the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. We also appreciated the nicely sized mini-fridge. Bugs were an issue. I wondered if they left the door open while preparing the room. Kind of to be expected, given the proximity to the river. But still, was a bit annoying to knock them off the bed, mostly on our first night. Also, one of the window blinds was broken, and it was just generally a challenge to make the room darker at night due to light from the AC unit, cable box, etc. (Speaking of the cable box, it's pretty finicky. Would have liked a more straight forward setup.) All in all, we were pleased with our stay and the price. Would consider Johnny's Motel again if in the area.

The room was updated and there was an air conditioner that was a little undersized and ran the entire night but mostly did the job. The fridge was a bonus and a nice view of the river out the back window. The manager was great to deal with and got us into a room upon arrival with some great suggestions for food downtown. Would stay there again.

The motel was very clean, bed was comfortable, sits on the river, and walking distance to town. The motel was very quiet and was full. Has carports for your car as well. Only bummer was the mosquitos and pool not being open. Within walking distance was great food, drinks, grocery store, and farmers market on Friday.

The room was clean and fresh. Everything we needed for a stay over on our road trip. Short walk to a restaurant and great scenery all around. Appreciated the accommodation for our truck and camper travelling companions too!
