喬利斯瓦格曼汽車旅館(Jolly Swagman Motor Inn)

Rang to book the night before. Friendly response - good booking experience. A rather old motel but clean and well set up rooms. Good facilities. Happy with stay. We were looking forward to dinner in the restaurant as the menu looked very good but sadly it was shut. But that would have been a bonus if it was open rather than a big negative as it wasn’t.

A list is needed: 1. Steak place is long gone, NO restaurant. 2. No room service (maybe because owner and drinking buddies in their private bar look like they are running down the old stock and can't man reception in the morning) 3. Pool is green and scary 4. BBQ and surrounding is a refugee site 5. Rooms smell of mould and industrial cleaning fluids 6. Showers mouldy 7. Rooms tiny and dark (till you turn on the fluorescent lights) 8. Grumpy reception guy sitting in front of a war memorial of Vietnam snaps (good prep for what you are about to endure) Sad sad place with no redeeming features. All the pictures you may see on wotif are pre-war. They are not a true representation of the current state of the premises. Also, it's very expensive for where it is!

Our stay here was not as good as we expected. We arrived on a hot day, room is tired with many fittings broken, AC is very poor. Restaurant closed until further notice, as it was nearly 2 years ago last time we stayed. Staff are friendly on phone, but not welcoming on arrival. Outside, pool is clean. But it is pet friendly.

The Jolly Swagman is conveniently located in Goondiwindi for travelers in southern Queensland. The motel was quiet but the rooms are looking tired and in need of some updating. The room we stayed in would benefit from a deep clean. We were disappointed to find that the onsite restaurant was closed until further notice

this is without a doubt the worst motel i have stayed in.the fridge and carpet are something you would see in abandoned shearers quarters.the man behind the desk had a open flannelet shirt on and a dirty singlet. i went back to the office to get wifi password and there were now two of his mates sitting beind the desk with him-all dirty.when i asked for the password he did not say a word but wrote it down on a book ,ripped it out and gave it to me .he said nothing.how people could stay here is beyond me.

Travelling with pets over long distances always comes with its problems. Trying to find a pet friendly motel is one. We stayed at the Jolly Swagman in Goondiwindi with our dog. An ideal location just off the highway, and opposite a park, for a walk. Les is a friendly host, and provides a well maintained establishment. The rooms are clean and well equipped, the bed very comfortable and a good choice of pillows. (Very important!!). Unfortunately, being a Sunday, the restaurant was closed.

Travelling with fur baby, this motel ticked all the boxes. Country style motel. Quiet, on edge of town but with direct access down Marshall street to shops. Wi-Fi. Very clean. Comfy beds and a variety of pillows. Pool, mini tennis court & nice little 'smokers' garden. Ordered room service dinner both nights of stay - really good quality food - country sized portions. My only negative comment is that the garden needs a **** - but hey! the gardener is probably comming next week! Manager and staff a delight. My third stay with Jolly Swagman. When next in Goondiwindi, I'll stay again. Thank you for a lovley stay and lots of laughs together. June 2023 - Not quite what we remembered. Restaurant not open anymore. It is a bit out of town so a short walk to a top pub. Pet friendly and good parking. Quiet. Shower and bathroom good. Close to Maccas should you be so inclined.

This motel has 4 dog friendly rooms, we stayed in a room on the way up to Brisbane with our dog, the room was a bit small with not a lot of room to move around in. On our way home we had a room with only 2 beds in it which gave us a bit more room for us & our dog. The rooms are clean & only had a microwave, kettle & toaster. Service was good & cleaning staff very friendly. Good thing to was when you park your car in front of your room it’s undercover which was great as it was raining when we arrived for our stay overnight on the way home to Melbourne.
