鷹嶺温泉度假酒店(Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa)

The property itself is inviting, overlooking the lake. The room met all expectations, and dining there is always a good experience. The menu is creative and the service is always friendly. It is one of our favorite places to dine in the Galena area. And despite two separate wedding receptions going on, we slept soundly.

Gorgeous spot. We had a 2 BR villa on the river - beautiful views. Very outdated villas but comfortable and having the wood fireplace and full kitchen was nice. Could hear the guests in the villa above us, but only occassionally. The Stonedrift Spa was fabulous. Skilled technicians and absolutely gorgeous - inside and with beautiful views. It was recently renovated and it was very classy and relaxing. The Woodland restaurant had lovely views and excellent food also. Overall a really peaceful and wonderful place. We very much enjoyed our time there and would go back.

Good experience. I loved that I had a virtual assistant available at all times. Amenities were a little dated. My husband and I were celebrating our one year anniversary and also our babymoon here. I was a little disappointed that they did not offer anything special to us. We spent some time at the pool and it was filled with bugs and just needed a good clean. The steam room next to the pool was absolutely disgusting. Pipes dripping black stuff onto the ground. Needs to be checked out and a deep cleaning. The Stonedrift spa was AMAZING!!!!! I had Todd for my prenatal massage and he was the best part of the entire weekend. Highly recommend

We've stayed at timeshares before, but this beats that experience by far. The guest houses are clean, modern and well maintained, and best of all they feel incredibly private. The views of the landscape and the clear night sky can't be beat. Plus, the city of Galena is so much fun to explore.

Overall a nice place to stay. Friendly, and helpful staff. The pool and the fitness area looked great, but did not use them. Stayed in a courtyard room. My first impression of my room was the smell of stale smoke. I eventually became accustomed to it.

Don’t hesitate to stay here. This property is absolutely stunning and the staff are so wonderful. We met the owners and they expressed such pride in their staff. The staff clearly loves working there and we loved staying there! We will definitely return.

Update: my husband said The women and the front desk this morning who helped with the refund were apologetic and very kind. Thank you to them for being compassionate! Like I said, goes a long way with me. I’ve never left a vacation early in my life. Until this place! I don’t know how they can call this a resort. I’ve stayed at nicer motels. The room was just dirty and dated. My major issue is with the staff, though. SUPER RUDE. I will say the woman who checked us in and the shuttle drivers were great! Their night staff, not so much. Firstly, we got back from town and I inquired at the desk as to when the pool closes. The girl at the desk goes “umm you need a room key to use our pool.” I was like “….okay? When does the pool close?” It felt like she thought we were sneaking in. I paid almost $900 for 2 nights. I’m not sneaking into your decrepit motel. Also pool area is freezing and so is the water. So I don’t recommend. Later, we got a call that the water here is not safe to drink. I had already drunk a bunch of it. We went to the desk to get water and I asked them what the deal was with the water since I drank it. They all started laughing like it was funny and it made me mad. I am having surgery Monday and I can’t get sick. They did get more serious when I told them that but I was already livid. I did overreact and said if I got sick I would sue them. At that point I just wanted to go home. I didn’t want to risk the water thing anymore than we already had. I called the desk when we got back to our room and told them I knew the water wasn’t their fault but their reactions and laughing about it is inappropriate. The girl on the phone (pretty sure the same girl with the pool question) says to me “ we laughed because you said you were going to sue us”. And I told her that wasn’t true and in fact my husband recorded the conversation so we could talk to my doctor. I told her I got so angry because they were laughing and not taking it seriously. I told her about the video. She got super sarcastic and went “oh do you! Do you have a video? Can you send it to me because I would LOVE to see it.” So beyond rude. So I did send the video. Lol. The only good part about this trip was that we got a full refund and got to leave immediately the next morning! If the woman at the desk would have apologized for their reactions this review wouldn't be here. An apology would have gone so far with me!

Eagle Ridge needs to consider major renovations for the sake of the health of their guests. The Villa RC01 contained tons of mold. All but one person in our group experienced sickness, each person developing symptoms just hours after exposure to the mold in this villa. The symptoms (tightness in chest, nausea, headache, cough) lasted for some of us in the group until Sunday evening, the final day of our stay at Eagle Ridge. Each person in our group was healthy upon arriving and no one had been exposed to other illnesses. Having a hot tub inside villa RC01 was unsafe. The mold must be in the walls and floors. The Eagle Ridge front desk did help us move to a different home at the resort for the second night. Unfortunately, we spent most of our visit healing from the symptoms the mold caused.

Our stay at Eagle Ridge was very pleasant. We’ve been to several other golf resorts and this one by far exceeded the others in hospitality. The staff members were genuinely friendly and happy to see us, not like some places where you can almost tell they’re only being friendly because they’re being paid to be; Eagle Ridge is different, a very nice resort for the friendliness, the value, the food, and of course the challenging golf courses!
